Where is the Gateway located on a 04 SN196?

Still trying to track down this issue with my tachometer & engine temp gauges. Everything I have researched points to the Faria Gateway

I believe it is located in the trunk. Maybe under the big black plastic shroud that covers the lifting ring threaded rod and nav light wiring.

They moved it to the dash maybe in 06 or 05 but I think 06 or any with throttle-by-wire.

I know its in the trunk and that's the only place I can imagine it. I imagine it there because in my o6, I've always asked myself wtf is this black plastic cover so big? There is nothing under there. But I'm thinking that's where the gateway was in earlier models.
