Starter Click!!!!

Thanks for helping me out with this. I just installed 2 new batteries in my 99SS gt40. When we turn the key to start it clicks 1 time then you turn the key off and start again it will crank right up. Volts are reading 12-13 and the batteries have been tested again. I just don't like turning the key and it not cranking the first time and it is driving my wife crazy. Thanks for your help on this.

Loose terminals either at the battery or the starter would be my first guess, that's a classic symptom. If not then I'd say take the cover off the solenoid, every now and again they get corroded and need a lil lovin.

Replace the starter relay. Classic issue on the older Ford engines.
