SAN 210 - Prop

Anybody running an ACME 1235 on a SAN 210? I know it's slightly larger, but the same otherwise (and not sure it would fit), but curious.

I know that some people have and are using that prop, but we decided not to since the diameter is larger by an inch and doesn't leave enough room to prevent potential hull burn. I didn't want to risk it.

Actually, just curious for using as a spare if ever needed to have the original prop repaired on a 2012 210 SANTE. For use over a weekend at most.

You could easily get away with it for short time like that...but you might like the performance gain too much to go back Haha!! That's why I said no. If you look at the ACME product sheet you can see the specs and compare the models. Our boat was delivered with #1465, which was a specific number to Nautique, but the 1579 is the same prop. The 1465 is no longer sold but 1579 is. We have one of each and there is no difference. We dinged the factory prop and got the 1579 while the other one was being fixed. It's still on the boat and never a problem. Also looks like they have a 14 in diameter prop at well #1433 that will give you little bit more surface area, but may be a little safer than the 1235.

I'm wanting someone to try the 2133 and let me know how it runs. I'd like to give it a try, but I'd rather have someone else be the guinea pig. 2133 is 5-blade 14 x 13.5

I am currently running the 1235. It is a really good prop and I get a lot better whole shot with it, especially loaded down. Here is the difference between it and the 1579. I have about 7/16" clearance with the 1235.

I bet that 2133 is pretty sweet. Looks very similar to the OJ TZ-X5, although I'm having trouble finding the specs of the X5, so not sure if it's the same at the 2133

I believe all the OJ 5-blades are 14.5 diameter. I've heard mixed reviews on the 5-blades, but I would love to try one myself. Some say they are great, and some say they aren't any better than the 4-blade.

The guy I spoke with at Acme said they are coming out with new props weekly. They will have 13.5 diamater 5-blades shortly, in case someone is afraid of the 14 inch on a 210. Personally, I'd prefer the 14 inch (I'm too nervous to run the 14.5).

I don't think you are going to see much performance increase as far as hole shot and such, but lower cruise RPM is for sure. Same principal as turboprop airplanes. More blades = more air/water movement at less RPM. I don't think 14" would be a problem on the 210. The 1235 is 14.5" and that is cutting it a little too close for me.

I also want to try the 2133, on my 210 (currently have 1579) but if what you say is true, they might have a 13.5" 5 blade coming out? I might wait unless I hear some feedback from someone running a 2133 @ 14" I'm really interested in the wakesurf benefits all loaded down.

I ran a 14.25x14.5 Oj xmp revolution on my 07 210 and it performed amazing!! however it left a slight groove in the hull, maybe 1/16" deep. i mainly surfed and i found the prop came out of the hole like it had zero weight! wave was the same as the factory prop on the normal side and better than the factopprop on the goofy side (i'm goofy). i think a 14" diameter prop would be perfect

I ran the 1235 on my 210 with no short term problems (only had the boat for 1 year). I am really interested to see how the 14" 5-blade will compare. Maybe Acme will send one of us one to try out.
