I have been using TA but will give Simple Green Marine a try...I like the idea of it being bio-degradeable as I use it on the lake sometimes.

MALCO: Full Strength or use diluted like TA?Originally posted by TxJole View PostOld thread but HOLY BALLZ I just had a gallon of Malco Leather and Plastic cleaner delivered to my shop for $17 a gallon. Went out and sprayed it on my leather truck seats. I thought I bleached them till I saw that was the color they are suppose to be. My boat is gonna shine like the sun after this weekend. Best product I bought in a long time.2010 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition

Where would you guys recommend starting with TA? 50/50 solution, 3 to 1, etc? I've never used it before, but am going to try it out on my filthy Prostar tomorrow. Test it on the MC, then use it on the CC:-)'08 196LE (previous)

3:1 water to TA to start. They recommend 10:1, but that is too weak IMHO. Don't leave it on long at any rate. Use a stiff (but not too stiff) brush. Now

I just cleaned my boat last weekend with TA. I still have a little mildew but it did a great job...probably better than anything else I've used in the past. I'll have to use some Starbrite mildew remover to finish it up. I think I started with 50:50 but used full strength in a few places. I had a bucket of water there to get some water on the brush, which seemed to help. You don't want to scuff too hard. I also sprayed some water on the seats and wiped with a towel afterwards....then followed with 303.
The TA actually got the stitching back the original color. I also tried it on a few spots on the carpet and it worked well for that. And if you're not convinced, I cleaned my shower with it yesterday and it did great too. When I bought it from Family Dollar, the checkout clerk was like, "oh man...thats some good stuff." Unprompted but funny.2000 Air Nautique

The BTS that TXJole was talking about might be, I'm not sure, haven't gotten around to buying any yet.

I would not use either Malco or TA at the dock or on the hull. It contains a chemical that is known to be a mutagen for aquatic life. Use it only on the interior when you have a good bit of time before you will be going back in the water. Now

On a side note, curious what you guys have used (and found effective) cleaning up the hull with after a weekend in the water? I have used a "homemade recipe" given to me by a family friend that seems to work just "okay." Look forward to hearing your responses.

If you have waxed the hull....a wipe down with towel and then using "speed gloss" is quick and easy and what I do. Boat Candy also has something similar to that (I have both) Some people mix white vinegar and water (I have tried that, vinegar is supposed to cut the water spots...to me its, meh), just like how the speed gloss removes all the water spots and also leaves a wax residue after fact, I can do my entire boat in less than 10mins. Most important tho IMO, is to have already waxed the boat so everything comes off easy. I use and love the Collonite 945 Paste Wax. Quick and easy to apply and lasts longer than others I have tried. Think most people wax twice, Spring and mid-summer. I do it every other month cause it makes wipe downs so easy and really makes the boat look greatOriginally posted by brownt2 View PostOn a side note, curious what you guys have used (and found effective) cleaning up the hull with after a weekend in the water?
