    Boat Trailer Size

I have a SV-211 on a lift at Lake Whitney, TX and I do not own a trailer (I know big mistake). I have a small chip in gel coat that I need to get repaired before next season - dealer wants $500 just to move the boat back and forth. A friend of my has a trailer for his X-Star that he said I could borrow anytime. His trailer is for a 24' boat while my boat is only 21' and a little narrower as well. I know this this not ideal but would it work without causing any damage to my boat? Thanks

Ooh thats pretty far. It would probably work, but be sure and strap it down really good.

I've used many different borrowed trailers under my boats while I worked on my trailer. XStar's are 22 ft, but really wide so it should fit ok, pull it on by hand and have someone watch as it comes out of the water to make sure it is sitting OK. Might take a couple of tries.

I would add to Foilheads statement in that the really important parts to watch are underneath the boat. I know this sounds redudant, but I thought it worth mentioning. Make sure that the running gear, fins, prop, etc, are all clear of any trailer parts. Once it's all seated correctly then make sure that it's strapped down very well.
