Out of nowhere I decided to check the V drive fluid 2 hours before I go back to my job out of state and it is a milkshake mess. Now I am in the process of changing it out so it is better for the winter. Who knows how long it was like this or how much damage was done.
I am trying to suck it out throught the fill hole with a manual pump but not having much luck with it. I have only gotten a few ounces at a time. Is there a drain plug somewhere on the unit itself I can fully drain it with? I will run it next spring and change it a couple of times when I can get to it. The through the dipstick route is not working nearly as well as everyone says it does, at least not so well for me for some reason.
Good god what a money pit this thing is becoming. I should have kept my 93 sport :|

As for your Question about the Drain, What model V-drive, motor and Boat are you asking about? I will try and post an image of your combo from the PDF parts catalog. It should showwhere the drain plug is located. I am 99% sure there is a drain on the bottom of the unit. Good luck.
