Fuel pump/filter location on sv211 air nautique 2005

    Hi all

I'm still working in getting the air nautique running. It now cranks but shuts off after a few seconds of idling. I asked a local mechanic about and he suggested a problem with the fuel filter or pump. So my question is how to find the fuel filter. I've replaced them before on cars but not a boat. I can't even find it. So does anybody know where to find it?

I assume 5.7 330. Couldn't find the 2005 book. 2006 should be close enough. Same part config for 6.0 anywho.

On the Excaliber engine it's on the forward starboard (drivers) side of the engine compartment. It's inside the silver-gray canister. The instructions for changing the filter in the service manual that airtool linked to are pretty clear (page 40 in the paper version, 42 in the pdf version.) The two most important things to remember when changing the filter are to 1) drain the canister first (7/16 wrench) into a container (I use a 1 qt paint mixing bucket), and 2) after you're finished and before you start the engine, cycle the on/off switch (start then stop on the keypad) at least 10 times to fill the canister with fuel. If you don't cycle the engine on/off, the engine will start and maybe idle but won't run.

        olo3000,

Find a fuel pressure gauge that will connect to your fuel rail gauge port and be sure you het 50 plus PSI when you turn the ignition on (before you turn the engine over). If not you may have a bad LP fuel pump, bad relay or bad connection of the realy in its socket. I had a simular problem and it was a bad connection of the relay to the relay base. It is the relay with a pink wire I believe.
