After surfing for a few hours this saturday, my engine starting idling rough. Not enough weight to have water coming in the air intake. It will accelerate and run normally. I let it rest over night and started the next morning and it was doing the same thing. It normally sound smooth as silk when it idles, now it is vibrating and just sounds rough like it is struggling. Didn't appear to be more than a few inches of water in the bottom of the engine compartment. All guages read normal. I don't know where to start looking for the problem.

RE: ZR6 running idling rough 04 SV211
check the cap and rotor and spark plug wires first
might check the fuel cell for water in it

Will do. I had a similar problem when my bilge pump quit working. Aren't there 2 bilge pumps in this boat? Shouldn't one or both come on automatically?2012 200

It seems the button on the keypad turns on the bilge near the engine and the "ALL ON" toggle switch turns on the ski locker bilge (judging by where the water exits). Should either come on automatically?2012 200

Update. It seems I got a tank of watery gas. I put some Sea Foam in and ran the rest of the tank out. Fresh tank of gas and idles smoother but still does not feel like it has the normal amount of torque. Could I need to change a fuel filter or have fouled a plug?
Another question off topic, is it a good idea to let smoeone other than ACME rework one of their props? I have two 644s that need to have the waves taken out and I thought it might take too long to send back to ACME.2012 200

I had a prop shop fix my 422. I was pretty ding'd up but no tears. No welding was required and they did a good job. I think I paid like 110 and they balanced it. Also stamped my sir name in the hub to keep tabs on it.....very classy.Originally posted by MarkSkeltonAnother question off topic, is it a good idea to let smoeone other than ACME rework one of their props? Changed the fuel filter and runs like new.
Removed the rear bilge and it had something that looked like steel wool in it and now spins fine. Apparently, you can leave the bilge button "on" and both bilges will cycle and search for water at preset intervals. I originally thought they would run constantly if you left the light on.
Took both props to prop shop. Put one on this weekend and it "sings" at 1100 rpm. I haven't tried the other one yet. I'll take it off and return it this week. I wonder if you can get "new" performance out of a reconditioned prop. When I put the brand new 644 on, it was unbelievably smooth; no cavitation upon acceleration.2012 200
