To get rid of the scum line or water line there is only one. Slimy Grimy. I've tried almost every suggestion on this site, some work, some don't but all requre some effort. Spray Slimy Grimy on the hull and within 1 minute all stains are gone. No scrubbing, no nothing, just hose it off. The guys at Mid Atlantic CC gave me a bottle two years ago telling me there's nothing like it. Let's just say there isn't, hands down its the best. Boat is bright white with one quick shot.
I think there's a website www.slimygrimy.comCurrent Boat: 2007 Super Air Nautique 220 Team Edition

I use Aerospace 303 on the interior Vinyl after a light scrub with Melamine (magic eraser) and water. I also use the 303 Aerospace on the dash, steering wheel, fiberglass, glovebox cover, controls, mirror, top fiberglass after polishing and waxing and on the rub rail. I would say it's fairly versatile.Travis Fling

303 is a great way to finish up and protect all the vinyl, it gives a nice shine and also protects from the sun. Recently I was told to try the Babe's product line it did a nice job but I still think Magic Earasers and 303 are about the best I have seen. Most important thing is just stay on top of it and things never become that dirty....

I use the vinyl cleaner and the 303 protectant for everything except glass. It does a great job and seems to last a long time. On my last boat I had some gel coat fading and I used Meguiars to polish out the fade, applied some Meguiar's wax, then sprayed some 303 on it. It never faded again, even in the winter where it is exposed to some direct sun for most of the day.2003 SAN (current)

The only thing about the 303 you need to watch out for... It makes it nice and slick! I took out my boat after a nice detail and did some powerturns and you almost couldn't hang on!!! Even from the drivers seat... I love the 303 though. it works pretty darn well. I had a big problem with pollen this year, which i've never had before but we came in for lunch one day and there was yellow pollen everywhere and everyone was sneezing... with the 303 on there though, just gave it a quick wipe and good as new!Travis Fling

Another 303 user here. That stuff just plain rocks. I sold my I/O a couple years ago. It was 4 years old, and all the vinyl had always been done with 303. It looked showroom new despite roughly 200 hours on it.
The cool thing is once the vinyl is protected, everything including dirt just wipes off. I do my boat about 3 times/year.2001 Ski Nautique / 2007 SV211 TE (gone but not forgotten)

For the HULL -> never used slimmy grimmy, and at 20 bucks a bottle I never will.
My father inlaw leaves his boat in the river all season and 2 time a season we pull it to clean the bottom of the muck and algie growing.
60% Hydorgen Peroxide (3 big bottles $7.00 ) 40% Lysol toilet bowl cleaner ( 2 bottles $9.00 ) Put it all in a large weed sparyer.
This is for a 25ft cruser so you could do a 19-22 foot ski boat for much less.
Let the boat dry, Spray on solution, wait 5 min, presure wash off. DONE!
Magic erasers and 303 for the interior.

From my experience, the best thing to do for the hull scum line is to wipe it down after every use. getting that grime off while it is wet is a lot easier than anything else. If for some reason you miss a spot, forget your towels, have to bail quick, etc., I have had good luck with Starbrite Hull Cleaner. It takes the scumline right off. I have also heard of people using a vinegar/water mixture. Again, this is for the exterior hull only.

My opinions here, some good advise has been given, some bad advise.
Many things clean your vinyl. almost as many things will damage it. Your vinyl has plasticizers in it, and it has a very thin protective coat on its surface. Most cleaners will remove the dirt, plasticizers, and topcoat on the vinyl. This will damage your vinyl.
Magic erasers are abrasive, and scrape off the topcoat of the vinyl. You could also "clean" your vinyl with very fine grit sandpaper, most people can understand the damage that this would cause, I cannot understand why people do not understand Magic erasers are doing the same thing. I am not denying that Magic erasers remove dirt and stains from your vinyl, but they do damage it.
I use Dawn dishwashing detergent, a few drops of it in a spray bottle of water for the vinyl. Use a soft bristle brush and gently clean the vinyl with the mixture. The 303 is a good protectant.
The Lysol toilet bowl / Hydrogen peroxide mixture does work very good on the gelcoat below the waterline. Put a good coat of wax on the hull after using it. Keep it off the decals. Do not use ammonia based cleaners on the exterior, they will loosten the glue on the decals, and pinstripe.
There are many other threads on this board about cleaning vinyl, do some research, too.
