I need to replace the Oil Pressure Sender on my 06 216 with an 330 Xcal. Is this easily accessible and if so where is it located? I did not see it when looking at the engine yesterday.

RE: Oil Pressure Sender
I don't know for sure on the marine engine...but on my Tahoe and c1500 with similar engines, it is at the very rear of the intake next to the distributor. It screws into a brass? fitting that screws into the top of the block ....although it looks like it screws into the intake.
It might look like this http://198.208.187.182/internet/Part...partnbr=D1819A
If it is similar to the truck sender, it may have one prong or three. The three prong model has an additional output to close the fuel pump relay at "x" psi. I don't know which type the marine units have.
I may visit my 06 206 tomorrow. If so, I'll check it out and post a pic.

RE: Oil Pressure Sender
The Oil Pressure Sender that was sent to me is bell shaped with what looks like an electrical connection on one end and a small screw on pressure hose connection on the other. For some reason, I do not see the existing one attached to the engine. I am sure it will be obvious once someone points me in the right direction.06 Air 216 TE

Re: RE: Oil Pressure Sender
See exploded view below. The sender is 14 and the switch is 12. They are located down where the remote filter kit bolts to the block...i.e. where the filter would be on an auto. Be sure to use a thread paste made for senders that doesn't block the grounding. Your sender may also be pre-pasted...look at the threads.
You should download the parts manual from the PCM site. It might also be on your PCM CD that came with the engine.
Thanks....and please forgive me for misleading you on the first guess.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Oil Pressure Sender
My engine was running fine. I was having oil pressure fluctuation, warnings and beeping on the digital gauge. Even at idle the pressure would jump all over the place. While the problem seemed electrical in nature it was resolved by replacing the sender. At idle speed in neutral, I now have a constant pressure reading of 44.0.06 Air 216 TE

I'll check mine on the next outing.
