I've never pulled off a rotor with sealed bearings. Anyone ever done this?

I don't know....but maybe it is like my 4x4 with sealed bearings....once the caliper is off, the hub-less rotor just falls off. Of course the wheel and lugs have to be off also.

after doing a little research, the part that I am not familiar with is "bearing buddies." Do these just get pulled off and the usual pin and nut are behind the bearing buddy?

Yes, take a block of wood and and a hammer and gently tap on both sides of the bearing buddy and you can work it loose - once you get it off there will be the regular guts you are used to seeing.

I guess you must have meant a bearing with seals instead of sealed bearings. Sealed bearings by definition have their own seal and do not get greased.

I'm thinking what you have is the regular bearings with the separate lip seal in the back.

Forget the 4x4 analogy I gave. Now that I better understand.

i use a rubber mallet or a dead blow, no wood needed

Rubber mallet here also. I just hit then moved it a 1/4 turn, hit again, and so on.
