How far do you have to trailer the boat? Which state is the boat located?

The Sea Nautique was flying through the air today! It was being placed on the trailer that is going to come with the boat. The previous owner did a bit of refurbishment on the trailer, and it was being moved from his other trailer to this one today so that it can make the trip to my lake!

Ohh she is a heavy girl but that will give you a nice smooth ride. I will give you my .02 cents in a run on list of items. You must have a black water tank since you have a head and heater. If not drop in a thetford 565 for the few bucks they work really well. I see a fridge on the build sheet. The refrigerator is a waste of space make it storage. You are better with a high performance cooler (or ice maker) so you don't have to waste fuel running and listening to the genset just to keep the fridge cool. If you run the genset overnight for A/C consider a small, quite and much more efficient Honda instead of running the gas guzzling genset. Make sure you have working CO2 and smoke detectors if you sleep aboard...engine room as well as cabin. Halon is nice to have. If you do end up with water lines for sink or toilets run something flexible like braded dishwasher or washer lines. Clean up the dash with multi-function gauges/screens so you have room for a nice big screen and a NEMA run system. Looks like its set up for a windless but why the big tongue at the bow. You need more rod holders and place a couple so you can create additional shade. Rub some money on it and have fun.

Cool project, what are the plans? Restore as is? Restomod a bit? Updated interior?

Yeah, that's kind of what I am thinking. It doesn't look too bad for the style that it is. I probably wouldn't be interested in this style if it wasn't a Nautique, but since it is and it is so rare, I think it is really cool!

Curious about fuel burn myself. With the little 302's in it, hopefully it won't be too bad. It weighs only a few hundred pounds more than a Paragon dry, and it has two 100 gallon fuel tanks. Dry weight on the Sea Nautique is 8,000 pounds. This one has a few extras onboard though, like a generator, air conditioning system, etc., so it is probably heavier than they were from the factory. It also has two fresh water tanks of an unknown capacity.

Its not a bad looking boat for that style. The key will be you fuel burn at cruise...that coming from an offshore guy but perhaps as a lake boat it would be fine.

Because the head is on the starboard side of the cabin, kind of under the dash area.

Why did they locate the door to the stabbin cabin so far port?

That black on black 216 was sold to a friend who lives on my lake. I still get to see it and work on it sometimes. In fact, I just winterized that boat for her a few weeks back. Still looks great!

Looks like a cool boat! I wonder how many of the original 13 are still in workable condition.... Twin 302's is pretty neat. Air con...on a small cruiser? No way!

Regarding the 'current quiver of boats'.....do you still have the black on black 216 or did that one go away? I don't recall what happened there.

I honestly don't know where you find the time to do so many projects. If I had a heated shop I could see getting one or two out the door a season if they were mostly cosmetic but you seem to get some really deep projects. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
