Plus a lead wake or two. All weight is in rear, shifted to surf side. I usually manually fill an extra 200-300 on the rear seat on surf side to give the boat a little lean. I don't list the boat very much, it's pretty much even with a bias towards surf side.

Here is the shaper I copied, I get it as far back and below water line as possible. I imagine a shaper lower in the water and further back will lengthen the wave as others have posted. Speed is variable for us as we surf in a moving body of water. I have GPS PP and tend to go a little on the slower side, maybe 9.5 - 10.5. The Sport is very finicky, but we surf in deep water 30+ feet, start off slow and avoiding getting on plane, turning the boat (right a little for goofy) a little helps shape it even more, etc...

We also wakeboard quite a bit and throw another 200-300 in the nose to help balance out the weight. These boats do like their rear weight...

Also propped up with an acme 1868. Cuts through like butter...
Nice wakeboarding pic! I'm too old for that now. Hah. I also started out with a Mission Delta style shaper. Then made one like Toms/ the Ronix shaper. Had improvement with wake divergence and curve in the wave to give a better and longer pocket. Going to make mine a bit wider as mentioned in the thread come spring. Sounds like we're running close the same weight setup but I need to add 300lbs to the ski locker, on the to do list. Post some vids if you get a chance experimenting with the wave. Glad to see another DD have success surfing.

Nice wave Glassywaters! I was in about 10-12 feet of water last time out (pics above) do you see a big difference when getting into the deeper water? Trying to decide if it would be worth it for me to drive to a deeper spot in my local lake.

Looks really good!! Nice and long with the curl. So jealous. All I do is watch ski/surf vids all winter.

Nope, no issues.....the only thing is that if the driver is aggressive and causes perfect pass to overshoot the speed (10.5mph) and we get some pretty serious roostertail/spray into the boat at about 12mph before PP settles the speed down to 10.5mph

Yeah, I've been wondering if a larger face would help- don't feel too bad about the 8 months- I bruised my sternum slalom skiing that last time out, so my season may be done as well.....

Thanks. I think I'm gonna build the next one at 19" long by 11" high. My last one is 9" high. 11x19 is really close to the Ronix size i think. Will post results in 8 months...hah.

Yep- pic below- 8.5" high X 11" wide- 45degrees- shown next to other gate for reference .. Also, our lake is down about 3' so was only surfing in 10-12foot depth instead of 13-15'..... So maybe the wave would have been better this time if we had the deeper water.
