    ATL Boat Show

My brother and I went to the ATL boat show this morning to check out all the new rides. I must say after looking at all of the big names (i.e. Nautique, Mastercraft, Malibu, Tige, Supra, etc.) that the new Nautiques are at the top when it comes to fit and finish. The new 210 looks awesome, especially in person! I'd have to say that it would be my first choice if I were in the market for a new boat, with the 230 following close behind. Given that we don't spend all day on the boat when we go to the lake, the 210 just seems like the perfect size.

Anyone else have impressions from the boat show?

I was there. I think the 220 would be my choice upgrade. I have to agree that CC continues to be the best quality. The 40th anniverssary edition X-Star and 190 were pretty sweet. I know it may be too much bling but I do have to give them credit for a good looking boat. Malibu, well, just not my cup of tea and they just look cheap.

I went yesterday and agree with the comments here as well.

The Nautique area was professional and subdued in a classic Ferrari sort of way. CC boats are clearly tops in the wake/ski category.

The Mastercraft area felt more active in blinged out, in a high pressure sort of way. I actually had one of their pro-riders, Andrew Adtkison approach me and try to tell me how great their boats were because HE spends so much time behind them. A nice kid but when I told him I was a CC guy, he just kind of melted back a bit like a deflated salesman realizing he was trying to push a great Chevy to a guy with a Cadillac.

The Malibu's definately are in a cheaped-out league of their own in a Bayliner sort of way. They did have the Z06 Corvette boat there which is **** cool, but a very expensive, impractible toy. It was #4 of 125 to be built and had sold at a show price of $86K.
