It looks like the seat back in front of the engine folds down, then the "jump seat" goes there. Looks like you pick up the whole thing, spin it around and set it down between the 2 thick cushions on the back rest. The lines on the interior line up that way.

Comparing the 2007 picture below to the one for the 2008, yes, it appears that the engine bump was eliminated by increasing the length of the rear lockers. By my guess, which was based on looking at the size of the 6 1/2 Polk speaker relative to the length between the seat back against the rear locker and the temporary seat back behind the driver's seat, the length of that seating area for 2008 has been reduced by about a foot. Judge for yourself, but I think that 's a pretty good estimate.Originally posted by PopUpTough to tell with the fisheye lens, but did they get rid of the engine bump by reducing the amount of room? RE: Re: RE: Sweet Color
you can also judge it by the relative distance of the grab handle and the pop up cleat to the seat back. my beer guestimation is that they moved the locker forward by about 6 inches and made the aft seatback more upright... the only way to make an awkward feeling layout more goofy is to make it smaller. after having spent some time in the 2007 210, 236 and my 2006 220, my opinion is that the 07 210 is TOO small to have the stadium seating feel anything other than cramped for any person over 5'5". but again, my opinion is coming from running slightly larger boats regularly...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Sweet Color
I was a huge naysayer of the 220s notched back seat when i was introduced. now i own one, and nobody that has ever ridden with me has commented negatively on those notches. why? they provide more legroom for the 3-4 people that are routinely facing rear in the boat. the already cramped 210 is giving up that additional legroom for rearward facing passengers in 2008 or so it would appear...Originally posted by azwakeboarderI think I would rather have the hump!!!
i guess all of that is worthless because i was so skeptical of the 220s interior (which i now love) just like i am skeptical of the 08 210s interior. having spent time on the 07 210, 220 and 236, i find the 220 to be the most comfortable and functional, followed by the 236 and finally the 210...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Sweet Color
I don't know if it's just me or what, but the 210 in the picture looks to have a really cheesey interior as far as quality. It looks like I did it myself, with all the square corners and what not. I was actually dead set on ordering a new 210 in a couple of months but now think I am going to have to have to weight to see it in person. I was going to order the new one based on my test ride of the '07, is the '08 all that different or is it just me?

Funny, I had been thinking that the flat back across the 08 would please those that didn't like the looks of the notched back but it would come at the cost of interior space. Funny that looks have won out over function.Lively Up Yourself, And Don\'t Be No Drag

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Sweet Color
I got a chance to ride in and drive this '08 210 this past week. The new deck on the 210 is great. The true wrap-around seating is back, and the new back seat is unreal. Most of the space from the old deck's engine kickout has been put back into the interior of the boat, which is great news. The new colors are cool, too. This boat is Chocolate and Mint, which are certainly striking colors, and look great on the water. I might just have to go with Chololate on my next boat. The 210 is certainly worth a look if you're in the market! Please do not PM me directly asking for advice on how to repair your boat.
