Hi,
We have a 1996 Sport Nautique with a PCM GT 40. The boat has 1280 freshwater hours and is used probably 30 light hours in 3 month season. We really like the boat and don't want to upgrade, nor can we afford to, but I am starting to get concerned with the number of hours. I looked into re-powering if it got to that but one dealer told me he didn't know what we could put into it...which seemed like a crappy answer. The boat is has an oil change and is properly winterized every year, I don't do the impeller every year but maybe every two.
My question is, what are some things I should be concerned about and be proactive about? I have a pretty good mechanic that works on the boat for me but wanted to pose the question to this group. Thanks a lot.
