We're getting ready to start the engine replacement on our client's 1999 Sport Nautique next week!

Refurbished an Airguide 2025 and sent it out to a customer in Ohio this morning.

Yesterday was decal and pinstripe removal day for our client's 1999 Sport Nautique. This one is getting a wet sand and buff, and new SPORT NAUTIQUE and Official World and National Wakeboard Tow Boat decals and pinstripes (oh, and a brand new ZR-409!).

Today, the hidden Roswell audio equipment was installed in our client's 1986 Ski Nautique. It is controlled by the stock accessory switch on the dash, which powers up the Roswell Cybox bluetooth receiver and the Roswell 650.4 amp. From there, you control everything with your phone, There is no head unit. The speakers are Roswell R-series installed into custom-made boxes with carpet that matches the new carpet on the floor. We did this for two reasons - first, this allowed us to NOT cut into the beautiful new side bolster upholstery. Second, the boxes give the speakers the ability to produce a much richer sound that actually has some bass to it instead of being free-air as they would be when mounted in the side bolsters.

Our client's 1986 Ski Nautique is just about ready to head home!
Tomorrow is the water test, and everything seems to be ready.

Nice looking 2001. Love the 'powerbulge' on the front deck. The 2001 was my first exposure to the Nautique brand. My buddy had the 2001, I had the '82 Mastercraft and they were completely different boats.

My Mastercraft was minimalist with almost no real boating features. When you hit a wave...the dash and windshield frame would quiver from the impact. The ride was harsh with a pretty flat bottom and a tendency to slap if you got the speed wrong. The windshield frame was perfectly in your sight line so you always needed to sit on a cushion to see right. But it was light and wicked powerful with the PowerSlot option and laid almost no wake at all.

The Nautique was pretty much the opposite. The boat had cubbies and access points that made it feel like someone who knew boats had built it. The hull was stout and sliced through rougher water. The 2001 had a great tall windshield that protected you from the wind and kept you dry if you happened to run in the rain. The wake was much more noteable with a distinct curl at ski speeds and rooster tail at slower speeds. The Nautique was heavier and lacked the launch giddyup of the Mastercraft.

The Mastercraft was better to ski behind but the 2001 was better in every other way. Fun memories....
