I am wondering if there is anything that I should be looking out for when buying a 2007 Nautique Super Air 220 team edition. I know to have it checked out, etc, mechanically, but wanted to just ask if there is something that I should be looking for specifically with this model or year?

Nothing crazy , it’s pretty bombproof boat. If the boat has’t had the original sano pads ( platform and rear step material replaced with seadeck or the equivalent ) iI’d be counting on having to do that because that stuff will be slick when wet. Make sure all gauges work.Last edited by swatguy; 3 weeks ago.

Thanks! I just bought it! The interior needs to be addressed, but the boat only has about 400hours and feels really solid. Planning to set it up to wakeboard and surf mainly. Guy had an NSS system that he offered by Max Gill, (he had never installed it), I'm still reading up on that. Thanks for the message. I am sure i will be asking more about the surf system! but thanks again for the reply!

That boat will be awesome with Max's NSS system fitted.. BTW that is the ERA of peak Nautique... After that era of boat quality and materials have been cut to build to a price that suits the companies and the dealers need for increased margin.

Thanks for the replies, I'll pick the boat up on Wednesday Night and will get some pictures then! Looking forward to both a project and the fun on the lake next year!

- Replace all 4 tires (after 5 yrs the tread will separate even if they look great)
- Tie off the boat and replace bunk carpet w new bunk carpet (boat can be VERY hard to trailer if water is low- mine bucked up and bent prop w old carpet)
- Inspect and refill the bearings w marine grease + new bearing seals
- Brakes? Mine caught fire so I rebuild them - simply froze from lack of use
- Replace Plugs/Wires/Distributor cap (these get neglected if boat 'runs fine') - replace valve cover gaskets (they dry out and leak) while you're back there.
- Fill and drain all the ballast to check. If the ballast float switch goes bad - the ballast wont drain unless you use a wire jumper until you replace float switch.
- New Impeller - Mine was down to the nubs when I bought mine 'marina service dept maintained'
