    Overall 210 Height

Does anyone know the total height from ground to the tallest point of the tower for a 2006 210? I know there may be little differences on trailers, etc…I am having a storage/garage built and was hoping to get the measurements without driving to the boat. I am curious if I need a 10’ or 12’ high door.

    Thanks…

nevermind. I called the dealer. He said I'll be fine with a 10' door.

10' is fine as long as you are going to put down the tower.

I have an 01 and can get through my 10' high garage door without pulling
the tower down. Have a few inches to spare. BKH

No, I am not wanting to put the tower down. Wonder if I should rethink the 12' door.

On my 2001 SAN I can't swing the tower up in my 10' tall garage. but it looks like it would clear if it didn't have to swing up, it would be close though.

I guess that's a good point. I have 12 ft ceilings and a 10ft garage door. Once in the door, no problem. My question would be if yo
can get the boat in with the tower up, why would you want to swing it down? BKH

Go with the 12ft door and the only reason I say this is because if down the road you want to switch to a bigger boat like a 220 you will want the extra clearance if you do not want to put the tower down. It's easier to do it know than down the road. Just my .02

One person can't lower the tower so you better go with 12' door. If the 01 barely fits in a 10', the 07 will be close on a 12'

If you ever want to put a motorhome in there, go with the 12' door.

Dependant on trailer and height of the new tower on a 210, you'll probably be pushing it really close, if not at all, on a 10 ft door. My 99 air with a 2002 Tower on a Ramlin just barely clears 10ft with the tower up....but the dealer should know best.

If you ever do buy a 220.....with the tower up and if its not on a low seated trailer like a Ramlin, you'll need slightly higher than 12 ft I believe

My boat is kept in a garage with 8 ft. doors and 10 ft. ceilings so I always have to drop my tower to get it in the garage. Also, the motor assembly for the door prohibits me from raising the tower once I do have it backed in. I will say that 90% of the time I raise and lower the tower on my own but it is no easy task. When I able to build my own shop it will definitely have 12 ft. doors.

Thanks everyone...I agree the 12' door would be the way to go but a building with the 10' door will run me anywhere from 4k-5k cheaper, since the side walls have to be so much taller...So I a guess the question I need to ask myself is if I'm willing to take the chance when I switch boats in the coming years, do I gamble on it fitting in 10' door.

aarond0083 - what tower do you have and do you have tower speaker? I have yet to try and lower my 06 210 tower w/speakers down by myself. Not sure if I could.

I'm surprised Grant hasn't come up with some kind of automatic tower folding feature.
