How deep does the water need to be for a OG210? Strictly docking capabilities. I live across the street from a constant level lake, there is a house for sale that fronts a canal, but the canal is only about 2’ deep at the bank. It’s about 10’ to the middle of the canal where it 3-4’ deep that takes you to the main lake about 100’ away. Wondering if it is worth my time looking into.

I have never seen any body of water that does or cannot have some fluctuation in depth.
Questions first:
-With only 10 to the middle can you block passage or are you at the end of the canal?
-Two feet at the bank...do you put a small dock along the bank that would then push the boat deeper?
-What is the bottom, a little sand is easy to blow out of the way for the prop to be clear.
-Are you installing a lift? If so that would require deeper water to sink the bunks under the boat.

Thanks is the draft to the bottom tip of the prop?
The lakes around me are small hydroelectric dammed up rivers fed by a large lake. Unless they are doing maintenance on the dam, the levels remain constant. They could rise with heavy rains, but they will not drop.2009 Super Air Nautique 210 Team ZR-409

Draft should be 25-30" on that boat, at the bottom of the rudder, static with no additional weight in the boat. How fast does the bottom slant off to deeper water? Sand bottom, rocks? Is there waves? significantly varying water depth of the canal? Lots to consider...

Yeah. Our 2006 210 was pretty good, but I'd try to avoid anything less than 3 feet. You can scope it out with a mask and snorkel to check it out, but we had a really sketchy boat launch where we dinged 2 props before we figured that it was best to just walk it through. The water was only thigh high anyway, and we saved the props. But if it's just sand, you may have more leeway. Also be aware that you would have to ensure all ballast is empty prior to docking at home.

Yep growing up we used to take my 89 sport through a pretty shallow canal to get to another less crowded lake. We would just walk it through and even lift on platform when needed. Never dinged a prop doing this2009 Super Air Nautique 210 TE

Thanks for all the help guys! It would be dirt, or mud. If I do make a move on the house I will probably just dredge it out. Although I do know it will slowly erode back in again.2009 Super Air Nautique 210 Team ZR-409
