you all are speaking crazy. why would you want anything new? anything new cannot possibly be better. there is nothing to gain through progression and product evolution. not only that, but gear boxes are terribly complex mechanisms. i mean you have an input shaft, a couple of gears, a shifting fork to select between the gears, some synchronizers, a couple of pinion gears in the v drives...all of this stuff is so new and complex that it is sure to be failure prone. none of henry ford or his minions have been able to come up with anything this complex in the past century. and dont even think about mirroring design templates/principles from a right hand rotation setup to a left hand rotation setup. we are in the northern hemisphere which means that the fluid will spin counter clockwise when the engine is running, and if you reverse the spinning of the output shaft, the gear oil and/or hydraulic fluid will be hydro-dynamically unstable and the viscosity will be reversed! quick, somebody give me an oar!

I think change for the most part is great! Where would we be if we didn't accept change and newer technology? I will tell you -- Amish!! Get out the old horse and buggy!

; maybe a better question is how many hours? That may be more applicable to boating.
