Subfloor ballast G boats - bags right?

There are 3 locations for ballast in the stock set up for a GBoat I believe. I have a 2018. Does that mean there are 3 bags? How are G Boat owners thinking about maintenance of those bags over time? Is there any preventative maintenance required? What if a bag gets a hole in it for some reason - what keeps the boat from filling with water or is the water contained within the stringers and can only take so much water?

3 bags yea. As long as you properly winterized the bag should last forever. They are encased in a very smoothed out compartment there are no sharp edges or anything to rub on.

To add on to this thread. What is the best way to know how full the ballast really is? If I wanted to run 100% on Port and Belly and 80% on Starboard - I would fill all 3 to 100% (water coming out the vent ports) then back out 20% from the starboard bag. I do that because I am not convinced the system really knows how full the bags are. The software probably uses a "how long each pump is activated" metric to determine how full or empty. Or am I wrong?

There are weight sensors in the bag compartments as well.

I always thought they were hard tanks. Does anyone have a link where there is a description?

Doubt you’ll find it in official literature. I don’t remember reading it anywhere like that. Learned it myself on this forum. Bags are actually made by flyhigh. Stamped right on it.

If you look up behind the amp and sub wall you can see a peak of the blue front ballast bag. I think that was in my 2016.

It's pretty easy to remove the floor panels and access/inspect the bag. The bags are made of super super tough rubberized material similar to a whitewater river raft. It would take a very sharp object and hard force to puncture them. This just doesn't happen. The only thing they may ever require maintenance is the sensors (just had mind replaced under warranty) and the impeller in the pumps.
