    Dealer Discounts off MSRP

What is the curent situation with discounts? Contemplating upgrading from a 2016 G23 to a 2021. Anyone care to offer the % discount they received on a new G23?

Please do a search. It will vary from dealer to dealer. Given the current economic environment, I would expect less of a discount, but talking to your dealer is the best place to start.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did a search on here before I started this new thread--clicked a few pages into the results and did not see anything up-to-date. (Forgive me if I missed something.)

I do have a price from one local dealer on a boat he has in stock, so I guess I can figure out that guy's starting point.

Am just curious to see what others are experiencing on 2021 G23s if such a discussion is allowed here on PN.

I think a good/typical discount is 15-20% off with the nautiques.

I really doubt you get 15-20% off a 21. It ainโ€™t an Axis.

Yes you can. Thatโ€™s right where I was on my 2021.

I think there's a good possibility that it will be a buyers market soon. Although Correct Craft is owned by a private equity company and doesn't publish their financials, Mastercraft is publicly listed and their recent quarter was beyond ugly,

Net sales for the fourth quarter decreased to $51.1 million, down 58.4 percent from $122.8 million in the prior-year period.

On my 2020 G23 I was at 24.6% off MSRP when ordered new from the factory to my specs. Not a 2021, but I have always had the philosophy that boats are purchased at 20-25% off MSRP, depreciate another 10% the first year and 5% each year thereafter. That philosophy always needs to be adjusted based on the level of care a boat received when buying used. But to date it has served me well in regards to buying and selling. But as mentioned, each region is a bit different based on supply and demand. I don't see why 2021 would be any different.

Keep in mind that is before taxes, registration, trailer, etc.

Also, I was mistaken, I just checked my invoice and it wasn't 24.6%, it was 25.32%.

That's what happens when you have to shut down the factory for two months...โ€ฆ. I'm guessing Nautiques numbers were similarly impacted for that quarter.

It certainly wasn't for lack of dealers selling units. A large portion of dealers have 0 boats, and the rest have inventory levels below 25% of normal. MC Production is sold out for all of 2021MY already, and I wouldn't be surprised if Nautique is in the same boat. Likely the only available slots, are the ones dealers have for stock-order units, and can use them for special orders. Dealer inventory is likely to remain VERY low for the next 6-12 months while the factories catch up.
