We've been consistently in the mid to upper 80's since mid June this year on Pontiac Lake in Waterford MI.

ours is 83ish, i think. i hate to be a debbie downer, but kind of curious if anyone ever think or worry at these higher water temps about the so called brain eating amoeba? I mean, i guess it is pretty rare, but it does go thru my mind a bit in the peak of the summer.

While hot/warm water contributes to naegleria fowleri, Brazos River Authority put out something recently that stagnant water is more of a contributor than the water just being warm. Between the flow of the Brazos, wind, and wake I'm not terribly worried about it, but I also do make a point to keep positive pressure on my nose when I jump in, don't swallow the water, and stay out of areas where I don't think there's much movement of the water. I give it a little consideration, but typically not much more than that.

We get a lot of flow through our lake and it is fed by 6 white water rivers coming out of the NC mountains. Lake was created in 1971, zero cases of brain eating amoeba. Lake is on a three lake stored hydro generation facility that stores water, generates hydro power and then reverses turbines to transfer water to upper lakes then start process again the next day. Pretty novel approach to hydro power generation. We also have 3 750MW nuclear reactors so lots of energy produced here.

We’ve got 82 degrees on Anvil Lake up in Northern Wisconsin just outside of Eagle River.... we started Surfing and Skiing over Memorial Day at 58 degree water wearing our shorties so we’re loving the warmer temps now

74 in Northern Vermont. Got in to the 90s with air temps so that cooler water feels pretty darn good now.

You guys are spoiled. In Ireland we are in the 50s all summer, and that is considered warm!

We spent a week there once and it was 70 and sunny the entire time. Everyone kept talking about how crazy hot it was outside and we kept scratching our heads.
