FYI. Paragon Wave. Full ballast 11.3MPH no extra weight. Three in the boat.
Both sides wave set on #3 of 10. It will get much bigger than most people can surf.

If one is a surfer that stands behind the boat swinging their hips side to side convincing themselves that they are carving like Kelly Slater then the wave can be very steep and they will be fine. However if one wants to develop solid surfing fundamentals, like drive, lip slides, board slides, chop hops, floaters, ollies, 360s etc. They will progress much faster on wave setting 3 - 5.

One will never surf like this on a very steep wave. BTW, I'm not trying to rain on anyone loving to carve a steep wave if that's your jam. It's all about having fun whatever that may be!

I’ve felt for awhile that I need to fly to Seattle to take lessons...from you. I’m rotten. Why? I’m the boat driver...

Can you please tell me what was used to record the video? Curious if it was GoPro mounts...

I have the same boat lift as you. Glad to see it can easily lift the Paragon.
                  What is the lift?

GoPro Hero 7. Mounted with surfboard mounts shown in image. It was shot using 1080 HD but looks stunning at 2K or 4K.

Yep. Those lifts are great. I actually have two -- an FL10 for the G23 and an FL6 for the smaller Nautiques in my collection. They are great because they are 100% self-contained. You can tie them up to a dock like you would do with a boat, meaning they are super-easy to move around from dock to dock if necessary.

Thanks for the info on this comparison. Be real curious if the weight difference has one wanting to add lead to the New G to have a comparable wave to the Paragon. Also, let us know how the bow spray is at surf speeds with a moderate breeze with this new hull.

                          Thank you!

Me too! I can't figure the surf thing out either, but then again I spend 99% of my time behind the wheel.

That's some amazing surfing Greg's daughter is doing!

So the G23 showed up yesterday. We took the boat out to surf, no extra weight, full fuel and just my wife and daughter in the boat. The wave was well shaped but soft. It surfed like a Centurion Ri 237 without any weight. Skim riders will love how smooth and rampy the wave is, but I was very disappointed in the lack of push.

After this shocker we went back to our slip and put 900lbs of lead that we removed from our 2020 G23 into the new 2021 G. 550 lbs went under the port rear flip-up seat and 350 lbs went under the starboard side seat to mimic the weight of the tower and larger motor in the Paragon. It was too late to go back out so we went home.

Last night I kept thinking that the weight would help, but how much??

Today we surfed the weighted G23 and I am still struggling to find the words to describe how unbelievably amazing the wave was. In my opinion it is as good as the Paragon! This hull responds to weight more effectively than any boat I have ever surfed. I don't have much time to go into it now but in my opinion this new G hull can be setup to the best surf boat on the planet!
