I wouldn't be afraid of an 800 hour boat - I'd ask a bunch of questions though. There's a reason the Moomba lineup is priced so low, some of it is design, but most of it is materials. You won't find a much better riding or solid boat than a Nautique. Also Moomba uses a touch screen now and to be honest it looks so cheap and out of place it's just not attractive. Compare the features on the Nautique vs Moomba, the seating, the transom, the seadek walkthrough on the engine cover, the NSS vs Moomba's trim tabs, the ballast system, the bimini, there are just too many differences to list. And don't forget, what they are asking is just that - asking, it isn't necessarily what you pay in the end.
    Here's a few questions I'd ask:
    What options are on it?
Where is the ski school and what kind of water was it used in?
Do they have complete service records?
What condition is the gel coat and interior?
Will they pay for the warranty transfer?
Do you know your local Moomba or Nautique dealer? If so, do you know their reputations?
Have a compression check and have the engine and transmission oil sent off to have it analyzed. That will give you a good idea of the condition of the engine. The warranty should cover all of the other items that may fail or need to be replaced in the first couple of years. I had the same dilemma a few years ago - I ended up with a used Nautique and couldn't be happier with my decision.

I would take a 2016-17 used Nautique with around 400 hours over a 2019 with 800 hours or a new Moomba.

Have them pull the OBD data and see where the boat lived in the RPM range. This will give you a great idea of how it was run by the school. I bet you will see very high hours for 1000 rpm or less.
