There are literally 100s of manufuctures in the same price range as a Nautique and I assure you many are not is at the same level. I'm truly sorry if you can't tell the difference in materials or finish of a Nautique interior from others; some folks are just not objective about quality and let personal feelings get in the way of their logic. I feel you are just arguing for the sake of arguing and that's ok, as that is normal protocol on any forum. I am never afraid of any banter on here

Nautique has looked in to cool touch materials in the past and at this time none have met the standards Nautique is looking for in terms of wear, look and feel. Can this change in the future? Sure it can. It is a known fact the cool touch vinyls MC uses has some issues with durability, difficulty in cleaning due to the deep grainy textures as well as reactions to some sun screens and cleaners contrary to what MC Team Talk forum members claim. Does cool touch stay cool? As I could tell, yes. I was quite impressed how cool the dark brown interior on a new X24 was that I spent some time out on the water in. Many manufactures in the wake boat world pull their materials from the same manufactuere; Nautique just happens to pull theirs from the top shelf.

I could never understand the reasoning of people bashing a product non stop on a brand dedicated forum; especially from someone who owns the product as well.

I am all for constructive criticism to help produce the best product out there; I wish there was more of it.
Not to derail this post, but nautiquegeek you seem to be in the know about Nautique R&D. Do you work for Correct Craft?

Sorry to hear about your interior wear.

I do know many dealers are using outside companies that repair vinyl. I have seen it myself and some of it is almost undetectable to the untrained eye. You may want to give them a shot.

Don't we all work for Correct Craft in some sort of capacity by purchasing their product, voting with our dollar and coming on here and giving input

My dollar doesn't get as much info in return as your dollar.

Nautique wanted $800 for a new skin, I took it to a shop that has done great work in the past and they are going to take a look at it and replace the worn section if they can match the vinyl, if not I will have to pay the $800, or try one of the vinyl repair shops.

            Thanks

I have had multiple seat skins on my 2106 G23 crack in the same way (on the side where it "crunches" under compression). I am the second owner of the boat and assumed the previous owner didn't care for the vinyl appropriately or used something corrosive to clean it. I've replaced three and have a couple of more to go when they get bad enough.

Not so much to keep the compression areas from cracking, after any boating but before I put the cover on the boat, I lift the observer seat , bow seats, midship seats and most importantly the stern flip-up seat to prevent moisture and mildew from building while the boat is stored. This approach probably keeps pressure off the observer seat stress points
