Yea a bow thruster would be ideal but it would not be an "easy" factory retrofit, it would require hull changes. I suspect the stern mount was "easier" to design and manufacture with existing assembly line assets.

Daddy likes. As for the comment about the engine cover actualtion, Cobalts have had these for almost two decades with few issues; yes, it is slower, but nice. Did I say Daddy likes?

Agree there shouldn’t be options on this boat... it’s a “luxury tow boat”... it should come with everything for whatever cost.

600# less ballast but 1500# heavier dry weight... wonder where the weight came from? Can’t all be in the tower!!!

EDIT: the base price of a G23 with standard motor and no options is 165K for 2019. It isn't even close to 100K when you factor in the engine.

In case nobody caught it, this hull is taller and about 1500 pounds heavier. I still find it hard to beleive that they decreased the ballast, even with the heavier hull.

The telescoping tower is awesome, awesome awesome!

All of the diamond stitching in the vinyl reminds me of Tige.

They will sell all of them. It wouldn't surprise me if I see 5 of them in my area alone. Some rich folks here who want the best of the best.

That transom access from the rear is painful. Waiting for the hydraulic lift of the entire hatch is even more painful. The most painful is when the actuator breaks and you are stuck with the transom up position. This will happen.

The more I look at the Paragon the more I like the design. To be honest when I first saw the boat I was underwhelmed, but originally I had the same thoughts about the new Ski Nautique. However after watching the walk-through and design videos the Paragon makes all other boats look old! I re-watched the M240 walk-through and all I could think of was this looks like a boat that is 10 years old now. Wow, congratulations on the forward thinking design and advancing the state of the art!

I also love the layout of the cockpit. It's got to be the best in the business. I love the rear entry board storage. Some see this as a problem, but we store 5 or 6 custom surfboards in the rear lockers. I love that in the Paragon the surfer can pull the board from the rear access transom area without dragging the boards into the boat because fins and vinyl don't get along well. Adding sea deck in place of locker cushions is brilliant because people always walk on this area and they become a nuisance to keep clean. With the rear seating there is no reason to have vinyl on top of the lockers anyway.

The only issue that I can't get over is the weight, 7400 lbs dry? The hull has the same beam, length and fuel capacity as the current G23 so where is the 1500 lbs of additional weight coming from? The added dry weight means more horsepower is needed to push the boat even without ballast, greater towing capacity is required, a 3 axle trailer at a minimum and greater boat lift capacity? I believe XR7 engine requires premium which is more expensive and not as easily available on the water. The XR7 burns much more fuel than the H6Di so my $8,300 annual fuel bill now goes to what $14-$16K? Why not use advanced manufacturing techniques to make the hull LIGHTER then increase the weight with fast fill ballast?

I guess I will withhold my final opinion until I get a chance to surf the Paragon but my G is very dialed in and my wave bar is pretty high...

Needed because bubbles are produced from main exhaust which would cause performance issues with thruster so they moved exhaust away from thruster

How many of these design aspects will eventually make it to a new G23? Seems silly to have all the tooling for just a limited run hull... I bet we see a new G-series hull line eventually make it to the market based on this design.

The new Linc dual displays are a win for me! I never liked switching away from the engine data screen just to do ballast or some other control. Having 2 screens is money IMHO! I also like they ditched the Seadek on the dash for vinyl... never really liked the look of it.

I'd also like to see more or the overall hull design including inside compartments. Looks to be an entirely new top deck as well because the few storage spaces they show are different shapes. The batteries have been moved making for a cool space in the floor as well. That tiny cooler is a joke though!

I'm guessing the tower will not fold at all based on the design and they didn't show it.

It is for the stern thruster as an aux exhaust while thruster is in operation

How does the transom storage compare to a G23, especially 2019 and back? I can probably comfortably fit 5+ surfboards in my 2018.
And, most importantly, how’s the surf wave compare?

Same XR7 engine as is available in the rest of the G line so will definitely require premium.

Will it go low enough with the bimini in place to fit in my garage? Not sure I like the look of the tower and bimini combo...but it is pretty cool to be able to adjust the height of the bimini with the push of a button.
Based on the pics/video I've seen it's still at least 1' above the windshield. That along with the higher overall height of the boat makes me think this boat will be a decent amount taller on the trailer than the 2020 G23 and all it's predecessors.
