2018 GS24 versus 2019 GS24

Is that video taken from a go pro mounted camera on the tower? Looks good! These boats like mid ship and a little bow weight. Go get you 400lbs and you will love it.

I replaced the pro ballast bags with twin 750’s, only had it out for one ride but amazing wave!!!

So I’ve been really high on these boats as far as drivability and comfort as we go to Lake Powell a lot and love to tour the lake as well as surf. I ordered a ‘19 GS24 (as you guys may have seen from other posts). But the boat had to surf real good as that’s our family’s primary water sport. I did 2 demos on the same boat (‘19) first one with pro ballast no lead. Wave was good but not great. Second time out my sales rep, Mike Escorza from Action Watersports, who knows how to set up a great wave, said hey do you want me to set that wave up stock or amazing with some lead. Of course I chose the lead. This sold me. 400lbs of lead and that boat surfs just a tick lower than a G23 (his words not mine).

Now before all the naysayers start chiming in about adding lead to a 6 figure boat blah blah blah, I will tell you all the pros add lead to their boats. Dylan Ayala has a G23 and adds some to his for sure. And I know to set up the G25 correctly you need some as well.

I hope, for your sake, that the 18 takes the weight well and gives you as good as wave as I’ve seen on the 19. Like I’ve mention in another post, I’ve seen the hull difference first hand. Doesn’t mean you can’t set up the 18 but the slight changes made a big difference in the stock wave IMO. I’m eager to hear how it works out. Keep us posted!

I have a 2019 GS24 that I have been extremely happy with. The wave is amazing. I'm 5'10 210 and over 40 and I've picked up surfing in no time. I started working on a 360 yesterday and the length of the wave was helpful. My only problem is I couldn't stop turning. I've definitely noticed the wave difference with people in the boat vs just me and a driver so I ordered 250# of lead for the rear locker. Reading this I'm thinking I might need more. If you don't mind sharing where did the dealer set up the 400# of lead in your GS?

Did you get pro ballast in you 2019? Can’t speak to what he did with his 400#, but this is what I have done so far. I replaced the stock pro ballast w twin 750’s on each side. Then added 150# under passenger seat, 100# in nose, 150 in left rear and 100 in right rear. I ride on right side and only had a few hours in this set up and seems to be really good! Please share other set-ups as you try and let me know your best results. Happy to share our updates as well. What an amazing boat, can’t get over how impressive surf wave is!

Well, through a strange twist of events, we ended up ordering a 2020 GS24. Supposedly going to be here mid August. I'll believe it when I see it.

Has anybody seen or heard any info on the 2020 Nautiques?

Agree, you can actually see the hull change in the Demo vids, pics attached

The hull on the 19 GS24 was definitely changed for 19, The lifting strakes were altered. If I was in your shoes I would definitely test them both but pretty sure Id go 19 just for the hull tweaks.
