I remember learning to ski with those wrap around waist life jackets... the ones that when you wiped out went up under your arm pits and you couldn’t breath or get them back off... lol.

Also to note during wipe outs, those ski belt buckles scraped the heck out of your stomach.

We actually purchased several from Amazon which we use hanging out in the water for flotation behind the boat

In the time before drones, I guess they shot that thing from a helicopter?

Probably so, they used helicopters in alot of the old wakeboard videos back in the day before drones.
