my 05 TE SV211 trailer guard rails are set real close. Is there a way or has anyone made theirs wider. I'm on my second pair in a year. I'm careful about putting the boat on the trailer but it still hits and breaks the bumpers alittle more each time.

I agree with Hollywood. While the snaps may work well, I would never drill into my boat to add them- not even the rubrail. There are covers out there (Rankin) that dont require any fasteners that seem to work very well.Originally posted by patolocoReally? Having owned both, I would never own a cover with straps again. Mine snaps under the rub rail and has been rock solid for 3+ years now.I would call that a downgrade

I guess it all depends on how you store your boat. We're under a canopy so the cinch strap underneath the rubrail does the trick. The cover also has a few nylon loops sewn into it so you can tie it down if need be. We've discussed this before, if snaps can be avoided I'm all for it. It's less holes in the boat, no permanent damage and don't seem to stretch out as much as others. Once a snap on cover stretches there's nothing to do about it but get bigger poles. Snapless are more universal, which probably makes them less expensive also.

wait a minute the cover works ok. I'm talking about the trailer guard rails. Sorry for the mass confusion. They rub the side of the boat when loading on the trailer I want to widen them if possible? See above for the pic I posted. Ok thats all thanks

I would think that you could get a pipe bender and remove the guide posts and add a bend to them Like this:How about \"Chales\"?

Take a look at my post "Help my trailer is tearing up my 211". This is what happens when the guides are too far apart. Seems like the trailer experts would figure out where the happy medium is! I have 6.5 inches on one side and over 7 on the other, way too much. Send me a PM if your dealer helps you any. Question to the other SV-211 owners, how far off the side are your guides when the boat is on the trailer?
