Is there any reason why you have not contacted your dealer? Many of them give out the option list and MSRP pricing. I've got one if you want to PM me with your email.
The list does not do you as much good if you do not know how much you will get off of MSRP.
I don't reveal how much I get off of MSRP. If I said I got 10% off, and my dealer says it is a honey deal, then I get all butt hurt when someone says they got 12% off. On the other hand, if I said I got 57% off, there is always some dork who says he got 62% off and that doesn't make me happy either. I just pay money and don't look back.
As far as what I see quoted here, just to save you the research, IIRC 15-20% off seems like a pretty common place. Dealers also have ways to fudge things, like my dealer charges something like $1600 for prep fees, which seems excessive, or they jack you on the trailer costs.
I'm not sure how accurate this site is. Put your zip code in and it gives you a msrp price and a dealer cost price. Neither may be correct but it is interesting...
Tallredrider - I know I can get it from the dealer too. I just want to be prepared when I walk into the situation. I hear you on the discounts. I'm not trying to get the best anyone has ever gotten, rather, just want to get a reasonable deal. When you are talking about ~$175k investment, every 1% is real money - at least for me.
I hope you are not paying $175k for a 230........ I was thinking that was msrp for a G23 and then they discount off that. I do agree 1% adds up though.
Interestingly, I was surprised that once you check all of the boxes that come standard on the G, the difference between a 230 and G narrows a lot more than I expected. The major cost savings on a 230 would be in being able to strip options.
Yes. That 175 was related to a G23 price. My mind is all over the place on this. I'm going to do a g23 vs 230 price comparison tonight. I know a G23 is more....I predict 30k, but we will see.
Thanks for the feedback!
BTW. My 230 is up for sale on the for sale section. Please pass it along if you know anyone.
