I wants to replace my board racks with straps with the Roswell Strapless Board Racks, and I was wondering since I had the 2017 G23 with the lower tower vs the 2018 tower if the wakesurf boards would hit the tower and/or stock JL Audio tower speakers as I tried to rotate the racks inward . Probably not an issue with the 2018 G23 models having higher towers but may not be the the case for the 2017 G23 models. Could someone validate my concern, who has a G23 2017 with Roswell Strapless Board Rack ?

We have a 17 G21 with strapless board racks and have not had any clearance issues. The boards can be a little difficult to get in when the racks are spun all the way in but there is room. Usually need to spun the rack halfway to make it easier to put boards in.

I have those racks as well on my ‘17 G21. I agree with shanesj, no clearance issues and very convenient.

I have the Roswell triton strapless racks on my 2016 G23, they are difficult to get large surf boards into as you have to lift up the plunger first, its tricky with the board in your hand. I would like to remove the plunger completely and just set the boards in, as i dont go more than 10mph while surfing so i dont need them clamped in. Test these racks out at the dealer before you invest in them...-Jon

They are now standard equipment on the G series, so a local dealer with any 2018 boats will have some on hand. I personally am not a fan of how the boards are almost vertical, and will create a blind spot coincidentally right in the flats where a foiler will be doing gainers and rolls.Originally posted by jonfo View PostI have the Roswell triton strapless racks on my 2016 G23, they are difficult to get large surf boards into as you have to lift up the plunger first, its tricky with the board in your hand. They do create a blind spot but other than that these racks are hands down the best I’ve owned

I haven’t needed to adjust mine and I’ve had surf and wakeboards in them.Originally posted by Montana Boat Guyjonfo Have you tried adjusting the individual plunger height? I have not heard of any fit issues. Would be curious if you have made this adjustment for your larger boards???

The blind spot is not as bad as I expected, in my opinion. After using them for a few months I can't see myself owning any other type of board rack.Originally posted by BigEasy View PostThey do create a blind spot but other than that these racks are hands down the best I’ve owned
