Just because it sank....what makes you think the title can't be "clean"....??? Your boat can sink and you still own it....doesn't affect the title....until you go to trade or sell it.

The state of Utah does not have salvage titles for boats. So you could completely rebuild an annihilated boat and it would still have the same title as any other boat. Just food for thought there. I don't know how many states are like that, but I bet it is quite a few.Originally posted by Kenv View PostJust because it sank....what makes you think the title can't be "clean"....??? I'm sure you're right, and like I mentioned a while back, New Hampshire does not have ANY titles for boats. You cannot get one.Originally posted by Tallredrider View Post

When I bought my 2003 210 last year, the seller gave me a title from the previous owner, from another state - but I will file that away until I sell the boat, because I can't do anything with it.
One of the biggest issues with not having titles is the inability to know if there is an existing lien on a boat when you buy it.
