I agree. I had a 23 LSV as well. But if I'm going 23 foot, it's gonna be a 230 unfortunately. 230 seats 15 and G21 seats 14 - not much of a difference.Originally posted by Wake.BCThere’s a reason wizard stocks a ton of g23’s and literally no g21’s... just saying. Personally coming from the 23lsv I wouldn’t want to go smaller.
I would be looking at the g23, 230 and both the tige rzx’s

I think the 2018 towers are 6" taller than 2017 anyway so should be ok and I am only 5-9 or so.Originally posted by Kenv
Good question.....I'm only 5'6" and my kids are short. Daughter's bfriend and brother are tall though. No issues as I only have two 8" Wetsounds instead of 4. 4 might have caused more of a duck down issue.....but with two it's perfect. No issues at all. In the future...if I get a G23 I might run 4 due to the slightly higher tower...

Completely off topic, but would you mind posting a pick of the tower with two Rev 8’s. We are trying to decide if two will look fine or if we do four.Originally posted by Kenv

On my way to the dealer to test the G 21 today I'll let you all know how it goes.
By the way I have been thinking about something... right now there are a bunch of used G23's for sale and only one used G21's for sale in my area. Last one I saw that went up for sale sold the day at one online so I think G21 resale might even be a lot better than we think due to the market not being flooded with them and them being more affordable.

And I do think I can maybe get into a 2016 G 23 for about the same price of the 2018 G 21. But in order to have those two extra seating areas I am giving up the new dash, the new tower and clamping board racks and two years older. Oh and it would be used and I don't get to pick my colours. I'm not sure that's a wise trade off.
Even on a 2017 G 23 I am still paying 15,000 more and while I get the new dash display I still won't get clamping board racks.Last edited by thejean; 09-30-2017, 10:35 AM.

Had a 2015 G23, sold it when I moved to the coast and bought a 2016 Coastal Edition G21. I can tell you I miss the space in the G21. That being said, I came from 2005 210 before the G23, and I am loving the G21 wake board wake, it is a little more difficult to tone down for my wife and kids. With the seat in rear view position, to me, the G21 gets small quick, and is a little difficult to navigate around. If you read this before settling on G21, flip the seat up and let your wife see and feel the difference. Either way, you're getting a G, so don't stress it too much!2005 210 SANTE

Well she can't even come with me today so I'm really just going to see the wake more than anything she says she will trust my word on the space. She's already convinced that the G 21 is more than big enough for our needs. I feel like this might of be a dangerous move by not bringing her with me but the weather is turning on us and I'm running out of time to do lake testing.Last edited by thejean; 09-30-2017, 11:03 AM.

Bring a wetsuit and ride the waves? Also remember that factory presets on ballast and everything is far from optimal in any boat you need to tweak it. I run far beyond stock settings and ballast in my G23 and it's an awesome wave for sure. As others have mentioned the flip up seat eats up room quickly and a G21 you will notice right away for sure. As far as the G23 being a dick swinging boat I don't think it's like that at all. There is a reason it's been voted best wake boat for 5 years straight, yea they are pricey but you get what you pay for in my opinion. Wizard stocks a lot of G23 because there are really no sizes restrictions on lakes around here and I wouldn't say G21's sell better, that one yellow and black 21 they have had been for sale almost 2 years and hasn't moved. With that being said my uncle tells me every time he's on the water that he wishes he would have got a 23, his wife was the one convincing him to get it though, he waned the 21 haha!Originally posted by thejean View PostWell she can't even come with me today so I'm really just going to see the wake more than anything she says she will trust my word on the space. Either way you will be much happier in a G I think, they are a cut above. When you surf it with full ballast go a lot faster than preset speed it'll help get rid of that "hole" at the front of the wave.

They always add the chine extensions to deflect spray? I don't remember seeing that nose on the earlier G21's.Originally posted by Kenv View Post"Weight change from 2015 would be the major hull update would be my guess in 2016."....Nope....there has never been a hull change on the G21 since it's inception. It might have been the change in stereo equipment?? Something else??...but it's wasn't any type of hull change.

What was his justification for leaning towards the 21 versus the 23?Originally posted by nohlan_4

Honestly I have no idea, it wasn't money they are very well off. I do know that he ordered it special so might have been color this was also back in 2014. He is now selling it and getting a 23.Originally posted by thejean View Post

You sure on the size? I was told a couple times the only difference is the space aft of the tower. My uncles 21 literally has 2 less spots just inside the main cabin. Bow rating is the same.

Yes....but they didn't make the bow change that the 23 and 25 did in 2016. The G21 has been the EXACT same since it came out in 2014. No hull changesOriginally posted by nohlan_4 View Post
