    Warranty Comparison

Just curious how the Nautique warranty stacks up against MC or Malibu? Websites seem to indicate SAN has 5 year on everything or 1000 hrs. Does that also include gelcoat? MC I think still only has one year on gelcoat I believe. Does anyone have a copy of the warranty guidelines - I've seen it before but can't find it now.

Found this but apparently it's for 2013. I believe Mc updated their warranty in 2014.

Pretty old comparison chart, I think everyone's warranty is 5 years now

Agreed but the current MC website clearly states gelcoat only 1 year.

Usually gel coat issues show up in the first year if they are going to happen. Did you decide on a boat yet?

Testing a couple today and will make a decision after that. Still leaning heavily towards the 230.

I believe gel coat is not warranted for bubble or anything due to have your boat stay in water

                What are you testing now?

I'll PM you. Would rather not bring that conversation into this thread.

Pretty sure everyone has 5 year now except gel coat is all 1 year.

My buddy is buying an Axis A24 and he says that he is getting 5 years, unlimited hours. Seems too good to be true. I have 5 years, 500 hours on my 17 G23.

Doesn't really provide any fine print, but i believe it would be unlimited hours. Nautique is pretty stingy, and charges you to transfer, which is kind of a bummer. And can only transfer to 2nd owner, unless that changed. So if you are 2nd owner, you can't transfer to a 3rd owner.

Malibu was the same as I was third owner and couldn't get any warranty even though boat only had 170 hrs.

MC is also the same if you read their website.

Not really sure what the logic is other than to discourage people from buying used boats. Grrrrr...
