    Air dam vs bow cover

Which one is better for a 210?

For the factory bow cover where are the snaps located on the hull? Pictures would be awesome.

I thought about this with my last Malibu. I came to the conclusion that snaps ALWAYS chip and splinter with time. So I elected to just stick with my air dam.

I would avoid snaps. They don't look good and they are just something else to wax around if you wax you own boat. When I was in the market to buy my current used boat I looked at several boats. The ones that had snaps were eliminated from the list immediately. Now that's just my opinion, but I feel strongly about it.

I would definitely rather have the air dam.

i agree 100%. snaps suck. Much easier to remove and replace the air dam also. I can also store mine next to the ballast tanks.

Another vote for the Air dam over snaps.

Air dam all the way, snaps suck.

There is a tige dealer near me that puts snaps on every new boat they bring in, so stupid. Let's just say they aren't getting much business for people who care about a nice looking gel coat.

Thanks guys! Air dam it is.

Any pictures of an air dam in a 210? Mine does not have one, and I can't find one for sell on nautiqueparts.

                  HI,
You can build it yourself with a couple of rails and a polyethylene board. It´s quite easy
Another option I did for my old 220 is to build a cushion that covers the gap so you can use it as a back rest (of course you need too have the bow filler cushion installed too)

Here is a couple of pictures of my 210 with the air dam in place...it is likely as easy as josemolino suggests to build yourself...

Thanks for the pics. Anyone have detail pics of the rail etc.? I would like to make it as close to factory as I can.

The cushion idea is tempting. I will probably just stick with the air dam, we do a lot of early mornings.
