Boat purchase in Canada, warranty in U.S.

Buying a new or used 2016 boat from a Canada dealer. Bringing it to the U.S.

Question 1: Will Nautique/Correct Craft and the local U.S. Nautique dealer cover warranty parts and warranty labor needed on the boat during its 5 year warranty period?

Question 2: Anyone have any first hand experience with this?

Any dealer should honor the warranty although I have heard were some are difficult about it. In my experience it was not a problem as long as you were not buying new current year stock out of your territory. You will want to read the warranty fine print, transferring vs buying new provides different coverage I believe and there may be a transfer fee.

I would strongly recommend contacting the factory and see what they say. It would also be wise to get their response in an email so you have something to point to in case of any misunderstanding.

Call/Email Nautique directly. I don't know about boats, but I know some car manufactures don't transfer their warranties across borders.

They will not give you warrenty if you buy the boat from the U.S. and bring it back to Canada , So I am guessing the opposite will be true.

I sold my 2015 and 2016 to buyers in the US and both have had no problem with warranty.

It says right in the manual that all warranty repairs must be made in the country of purchase. (Warranty will not be honored in cross international border purchases). (Page W 3 of the 2016 manual). You might be able to check older manuals online for similar info.
