      The outside was definitely smaller, but once we got inside it felt a little bigger. Much deeper and almost wider. The salesman said it surfed much better then the 210. If we were to buy one it would be between gs20 or g21

        I still can't wrap my head around the idea that a 20' 4500 lb dry weight boat could even be skiable. My old 2005 210 was a nightmare to ski behind and it was only 3190 lbs. Of course it was more narrow, but it was longer too.

          markj I don't understand either. The salesman seemed to have a good understanding. When the boat is up on plane (skiing speeds) it has a different running surface in the water, similar to a ski boat. Once the boat is loaded down with ballast going slower, different parts of the hull are transferring the water.
          I'm not sure if you can see it in the pictures but the hull drastically changes along the running surface, to allow this to happen

            I would think hull design, R & D, and NCRS (Nautique configurable running surface) has a lot to do with making the heavier boat ski well too.

              A baller I trust skied one last week. Said -32 and beyond is skiable, but -15 to -28 is not good. It makes sense, as it's a wake boat at heart.

I would think it's not too hard to get a 4500 boat to surf or wakeboard but it is touted as a Crossover boat yet no one seems to be interested in the ski wake. The other thread doesn't really have any real time ski info either. I'd like to see how it skis at all lines and speeds, especially slow speeds and long line for beginners, after all it is a "Family" boat so there will most likely be beginner skiers behind it. Showing professionals running at 36 mph and shortline really isn't indicative of how the boat performs for the average Joe even though it looks good in the videos. All the surf talk is moot if it doesn't ski well for "Everybody".
                I've ski'd it twice at 15' off 34mph (one at demo days and the other was last Friday with my dealer who had it for a day). I updated my post with pictures of the slalom wake and compared it to my 210 slalom wake. It doesn't look like there is a difference but I can tell you that it definitely has a lot more pop than my 210. I took the hardest fall I've had in 10 years this past Friday behind the gs20. I would like to get into shorter lines and see if it's better. I'm not looking for tournament quality as my 210 wake if find but I don't want to kill myself either.

                  So no offense to your 210 but if you are comparing it to a 210 ski wake I think I have my answer. "I took the hardest fall I've had in 10 years this past Friday behind the gs20." This statement says it all for me. Thanks for taking one for the team! LOL

                    I'll never be balling hard enough to own a 6 figure boat.

                      I haven't slalomed behind a small DD in a long time but I regularly ski behind my friends 99 22' Tige DD and my 210 has a smaller/softer wake. The problem with the 210 is that you attach the rope at the transom so the boat gets pulled back and forth big time. While the 210 is definitely not comparable to the DD TSC hulls, it is more than adequate at 34mph and 15' off. You can see pics of the wakes in my other thread;

                        Just rode/drove this boat! Hands down my favorite Nautique to date. This thing can really do it all. Almost no bow lift at all, I didn't need to use the seat booster at all. It was like a mix between the 210 and the G21. It's great. Rode great drove great. My dad is taking a slalom set on it tomorrow morning. I'll grab photos.

                          I'm the idiot not dropping the rope in the first pic. I currently own a Mastercraft X1, and an improved surf wake is high on my list of reasons to get a new boat. It might not look like it in pictures, but the surf wake is solid. Overall, the boat is a home run in my opinion. It has me ready to jump ship to Nautique. It is a really well thought out 20' boat that can fit under a 7' door. I am not sure why that's so hard for MC to figure out. (not one of their new boats fits under my 6'11" door). Big thanks to Jeff at Dockside and Joe who posted above, they helped create an awesome demo experience.

                              How does the interior space of the GS20 compare with a 210? I really like the looks of the GS20, but was thinking of moving to a 230 next.
