Not a huge fan of Tige but they got this deal right in my book. Holds "fragile" boards safe!

For me its looks like you have to remove the bigger Fins all the time, or you only surf skimboards. I do like the time storage, but i store my 3 boards (two with big fins) in the starboard trunk of my G, so i don't miss it ;-).

Hopefully the follow Malibus lead on the 210/230 . They came out with a fully loaded vlx 21 foot boat for 80k with including delivery and prep. Seams like there is a lot more competion. Maybe we will see price start to come down slightly?Originally posted by tgregorchuk View PostLittle off topic but heard big re design for 210 - 230 line...any info on that?

Seems there are shortcuts to do this, like 98" beam for starters on the new VLX.Originally posted by Shockthis View Post

Yes but the 210 is already 98 inches, not everyone needs a 102 inch beam weighing 6000 lbs. Seams like a great idea to me. I thought it looked like a great value to me. You can't just keep raising prices every year. Prices have got pretty out of control.

I do like that idea...however, a few people I know with Mastercrafts that have that feature (available on newer platforms), have had problems with the padding peeling away from the platform on the downward part. One friend has a 2014 Star and has had the padding replaced twice already due to this. Probably the reason Nautique didn't do this.Originally posted by SANonSherman View Post
The 2016's are an improvement but I think there should be padding all the way down the back of the platform. In my opinion, you should be able to slide off of the platform without damaging the fiberglass. I'm not a big fan of how the Malibu swim platform looks but I think it's functionally better.
I personally will just lightly wet sand and polish the edges to get them back to new looking. That's just one area of the boat that's going to take some abuse!Last edited by Beg4wake; 07-19-2016, 11:46 AM.

I was at the dealer last week and the salesman said one change for 2017 is the cockpit screen. No details but my guess is it will be bigger or there will be multiple screens.

I agree with BEG. My 2015 had a black deck. After a year of riders, mostly kids, it was not looking too good but the sea deck had zero damage. It took all but an hour to wetsand and buff to perfect condition.2016 G23

If the screen in the 2016 is a one year deal, I will be irritated. When companies start swapping parts every year, they start to look like, well, Tige. It becomes a support nightmare 10 years from now. Once again, a reason for my distaste for electronics in a boat, they just come and go out of style too often.Originally posted by Kmayotte View PostI was at the dealer last week and the salesman said one change for 2017 is the cockpit screen. It might make you feel better to know that the actual screen is the same unit as in the 2013-2015. Only difference is software, and the trim plate. It's the same Murphy hv750 screen, but the buttons are covered in the 2016 with a trim plate. Also worth mentioning is that the hv750 is the same unit used by MC and Supra. You can literally take the screen out of a MC or Supra, flash it with the G software and plug it in to any year G.Originally posted by Tallredrider View Post
