    2014 SANTE 210 prop advice

I have just purchased a 2014 Super Air 210 Team Edition. I am very happy with the performance of all aspects of the boat as compared to my previous boat a (2004 Super Air 210 Team Edition with 4000 lb ballast) except for the difficulty the boat has getting out of the hole with full ballast up to wakeboard speeds. My question is as to what is a good choice for upgrading the prop. I have gotten several different ones suggested to me by ACME, White Lake and from reading a couple of posts on here. On my previous boat we went from the factory team prop (644) to a 1464 and it was great. No problem planing off even with the full 4000lb onboard. My new boat has a 1579 (13.50x14.25 cup 0.105). Here are the options I was suggested:

    2571-14x12 0.105 cup
    1235-14.50x14.25 0.105 cup
    1619-13.50x13.75 0.105 cup
    2277-15x15.75 0.150 cup

Now I don not even think the 15" prop will fit on my boat and I have questions about the 14.50 props fitting without causing gelcoat burning. Is there anyone with experience that can give me some guidance.I would like to find the one that most closely matches the success we had on the old boat with the prop upgrade.

The 1579/1464 (same prop) is a DOG out of the hole. With anything above factory.

Acme 1617 all the way. Not sure why that was not recommended, yet the 1619 was. The other thing is your 2014 won't have near the holeshot as the old 210. Just the way it is.

some guys have chosen to run the 1235, but clearance is tight and some have experienced prop burn on the hill as a result of running the 1235. Others have claimed it has not given them burn. So it's a risk up to you to take. I know Acme will not recommend running the 1235 for that reason. It's right at their clearance threshold

So, how much of a difference is the pitch change going to make if I go to the 1617? Should I consider going down more in pitch on a 14" prop? What about different cup?

        XBIG,
I just changed my prop today on my 2014 SANTE 210. I went with the 1617 (had the 1579 like you) and there is a huge difference. So much easier getting out of the hole. I will say I probably lost a mile or two on top speed. I think top speed is now 38 or 39mph. I also cruised a lot today and it burned a bit more fuel than usual. I do turn lower RPM's wakeboarding and surfing though, so the fuel difference will probably balance out. I wish I would have upgraded earlier. Nettle Props was the cheapest I found. Good luck!
