    Spare Tire Mount Offset

I currently have a single axle ramlin trailer for my 2000 air. I was interested in mounting my spare on the trailer. I was curious if anyone has a link to a mount they used that gave the spare enough offset so that the bow of the boat does not have a chance to rub or scrape against it? thanks

The ramlin mount is really the best. The others either don't fit or look terrible. Even the ramlin mount we had to shim out a bit. Nautique parts can get for you.

I did not know that Ramlin made a mount so I never even explored that option when I added a spare mount to my trailer back in 2012. My 99 Super Sport sits on a single axle Ramlin trailer as well, so t should be almost identical to yours except for the axle placement on mine is further rear to account for the v-drive. I looked for a while and even asked on here as I was not finding many options for 6 lug spare tire holders. I ended up going with this and have been quite happy with it.

The whole time I have been using this mount it has never come loose from the frame and there is no wobble at all. Like you I was afraid of the bow coming into contact with the mount so I wanted it as far forward as possible. In order to do this I had to cut down the lower part of the crash pad on the spare tire side as there was a slight interference. I was mounting this the night before a boat trip, otherwise I probably would have looked into using something to further offset it so I didn't need to cut down the board. I have had zero negative impact from cutting the board and everything works perfect for me. The tire does not interfere with loading or unloading the boat and I have been on a variety of ramps that vary in water depth and steepness.

Below is a pic from when I mounted it before I reinstalled the crash pad. I can get you more pics tonight if you want to see how it looks with the crash pad cut down and re-installed and/or the other side of the mount.

I would think a simple mount like this would provide enough off-set.
