I thought the ballast timers were incorrectly set, but I researched it further and found out that water may be seeping in through my ballast pumps(while off) and partially filling my ballast bags while the boat is sitting in the water. I keep my boat on a trailer, so this is not a large amount of water coming in...probably just enough to make it so when I fill my ballast bags, the auto stop set by the timer will not kick on until a minute or two after the bags are full. I was told by Wakemakers that this problem of water coming into the bags is caused by a worn out ballast pump impeller. So I will change out the 3 impellers and see if that solves the problem.

The problem with the water seeping in is that the ballast is at or under the water level. The water siphons in naturally. New impellers might help but not fix the problem. Nautique added cables that open and shut the thru hull valves when you activate the ballast for 2016. Just sayin.

This came from my dealer this past Summer. I never tried it on the G23.
"You can go into the dealer options and change the boat model from the 23 to another boat and then back to the 23 it will rest the timers"2015 G23 550

I know about the upgrade that Nautique did to solve this problem, but the guys at Wakemakers seem to firmly believe that new impellers will solve this problem immediately. At $75 for 3 new impellers, I will try this and report back to the forum.

Here is 4 pages for you to read through: http://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/fo...ping-g-ballast
I think the best meat is about post 49-59. But especially read that NyRyan says he fixed his problem by changing impellers and reversing the remaining ones.
My impression from this is that it does not take much of a bend in the impeller to allow the siphon to occur. I supect you will need to change the impeller yearly to keep the problem away.
For the record, they put the automatic seacock shutoffs in January 2015. So quite a few 2015 boats have them (like mine).

Thank you you that link. I'm sure this is what is happening. I will report back when the new impellers are installed next week. I like the idea of alternating the position of the impeller each time. I noticed that the old impeller I inspected today was permanently bent to the empty direction...
