Thinking of a G21, what price to expect?

What should I expect to pay for a 2016 G21, decent options and with a trailer? I don't want to go too far in the process and bother my local dealer before I get my head around what to expect as a price range. I saw the MSRP and I thought that it was completely disconnected compared to the price of some used ones I saw on OIB and BTOL.

I'm not interested in offers from dealers outside my area, I wish to go with my local dealer if I decide to do this.

    Thanks!!!

I'm curious as well. I've gotten a quote at 19.5 percent off MSRP. This is including the incentives that will come out later this year. I don't know if this is bad, good, or just ok.

Best advice os to get your dealer interested in you. Ask the same question as reference point but keep in mind options will have a big impact on the price.

It's not hard to see how much these boats are now....even the 16's...just by reading and surfing the net a little. This subject came up a month and a half ago. Some good info given....but I think Joe above has one of the key points in his post. The Options. The Options on a G21 will let your boat price begin with 13, 14, or 15....that that goes all the way down to the trailer included. You can't go wrong with the G21. LOVE LOVE LOVE my 21.

How are you going to get your head around a price if you don't work with your dealer? Give them your requirements and get their best price. If you think it is too much ask them to "sharpen their pencil". Boat pricing is going to vary by region. If I told you I could get a fully loaded 2016 G21 for $108950 (with a trailer) would that be a good price? Would you take that to your dealer and say "This guy on the Planet Nautique forum can get a G21 for $108950 and if you don't give me that pricing I will walk." Seems to me to be a rather poor negotiating position.

How bad do you want a 2016 model? You are coming up on end of season pricing in certain regions of the country and if you are willing to drive a little or have the boat transported you might be able to work a deal on a 2015. Just because person X buys a boat for $Y doesn't mean squat for you unless he is your neighbor and you are working with the same dealer person X did.

I don't know what the price increase percentage is for the 2016's over the 2015's but this web site (http://seedealercost.com/products/mo...gorySlug/boats) might help you better understand what the dealer's invoice is. Having this information, IMO, is more important than knowing what person X paid. Knowing what the dealer paid can help you negotiate the best price. Dealers are in the business to sell boats and make money. The longer a boat sits in inventory the more it costs them in flooring and carrying costs. There is considerable markup in these boats to cover the dealer's costs so they have room to negotiate, but you must understand where they are negotiating from so you can negotiate from a position of strength. Strength comes from knowing what the dealer's cost is, not based on what some random person in some random region paid for their boat.

My dealer has a 2015 with base engine. He actually gave me a better price on the 2016. Go figure.

ox Doc, do you know if 19.5 % off msrp is pretty standard or above average? my family and I are trying to get into a G23 this winter and we have just been quoted 10% off at our local dealer and 15% to 20% at another. only problem is the other dealer is out of state.

I got about 19.25% at both of the dealers I got quotes from. One actually started at 11% but I told him the price from the other dealer and he was happy to beat it! I am actually in a grey area so I have a choice between 2 dealers...both are about the same distance from me. If I were you, I would take your quote, find the actual MSRP of the boat before their discount, take 19 or 20% off of that price yourself and counter offer your local dealer with that price. My guess is that he will agree to it.

I honestly have no idea what percent off MSRP is considered a good deal for Nautique. My Mastercraft dealer offered me 23 percent off MSRP right off the bat.

does anybody know how strict dealers are about selling out of their territory? I know a dealer out of state that has given me a general guideline as to what his quote would look like as far as % off MSRP. Is it possible to buy from dealers out of your area and how hard would it be to get warranty work done by my local dealer if I went this route?

It wouldn't be a big problem as long IF you hadn't gone to your local dealer yet. But if you've already gone to your local dealer, you can bet they'll be a little salty about doing any warranty work. They'll probably do the work...but they may not be in any hurry about it. If you hadn't gone to them yet, then you could just tell them you just moved to the area after you purchased the boat. But honestly, I don't see why your dealer couldn't match the out of state dealer.
