Long story short. Dealer has a '15 SANTE 230 w\ NSS. We haven't had a chance to demo it yet and I have been looking for any vids or reviews on the surf wave. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Absolutely love it. My wife and I demoed an X10, X30, 23LSV, and 22VLX prior to buying our 230. We were upgrading from a 2011 Moomba möbius LSV. Build quality, performance, drivability of the Nautique were outstanding when compared to their others. We really liked the adjustability of NSS, the forward visability while driving without sitting up on the booster, and the easy of turning the wheel ( my wife really noticed this). The helm area on the Nautique is awesome super comfortable for the driver which is usually me. I like the linc system mostly because it isn't a touchscreen. I also like how clean and uncluttered the dash is. Make sure they upgrade the rear pro ballast from 400's the 750's prior to your test drive. This makes a huge difference. When you fill everything you will need to do it through the ballast screen not the presets. Run the back pumps until water spits out the vents to make sure everything is full. Our typical setup is:
Regular- everything completely full, then drop the starboard ballast down to 7/8. Hydrogate vert. NNS 2. Speed 10.4-10.6 mph
Goofy- everything completely full, Hydrogate vert, NNS 2 speed 10.4-10.6
Other notes. Make sure you get the heated seats- my wife and kids love them. I have 2 rev 10's on the tower. They are nice, but take up a lot of head room. We have the 343 engine, this has worked great and should be all you need unless wakeboarding with really heavy weight.

Thank you for the reply seveet! We currently own a '14 Axis A22 and are looking to get into something that is more comfortable with a better wave, using less ballast. Our A22 has a nice wave but it take 4500lbs, of ballast, to get there and then she drives like a barge. Our dealer is a Malibu / Axis / Nautique dealer. We have looked at a 22vlx and will order one if we go that route. Looked at a T22 but back to the same square seats and plastic.
Our dealer also has this '15 Sante 230 http://idahowatersports.com/inventor...autique-230te/ It has the 409 motor and some decent options. Ignore the Malibu trailer. The boat showed up before the trailer.Which is a nice way of saying the owner ordered the boat and forgot to order the trailer.
We are waiting for the dealer to get their first VLX in and then will demo the 230 and 22VLX back to back. I gotta admit that I have always been a Nautique fan. My first boat was a ski nautique and I loved that little boat. Since then I have owned a Tige 23V and the Axis A22. I really like the looks and layout of the 22VLX but it will come down to performance.

Agree everything seveet stated. My only recommendation would be to also make sure you get the bow weight. Understand all of this is below seats. None of the weight mentioned above is on the seat. Also I would put NSS at 4 and bump the speed up above 10.6.

We have a new 230 and like it a lot. Like they others have said it takes more weight than the pro ballast. We added the 750s and just put a 400 in the walk through filled via pump over the side. ( I'd like to know how you all doing the bow hooked to link) the wave is really good and the more people you add from there the better it gets. We all surf goofy and run NSS at 3 and more speed at 11.2 depending on how many people we have with us. The good thing is that you really tune the wave with NSS and speed.
This pic is all of the above w just me my wife and 2 young boys.
By the way the boat your looking is sharp! I really like that blue. Good luck!!1 Photo

I have 1100 in the rear of my 2011 SAN 230 and rear bags fit awsome and when completely full the still have a little clearance on the top to still store a few fenders

I just like the opening shot on this video. This is from last night. Wave was huge. Ran everything full including IBS, NNS 2, 4 adults in the boat 3 on the surf side, speed 10.6, Hydrogate vert. I could have pushed the speed a little more, but overall crazy fun. For reference I am 6'1".

I'm running a '15 210 with 750's in the rear and 100 lbs of lead in the nose, and the surf wave is far better than the similarly weighted '13 VLX with SurfGate that's in our family. I can only imagine the 230 is even better.

For surfing I have 320 in lead + belly in front, 240 in lead + full ballast in rear. Full ballast for me is rear tanks + 750's. Typically only 1-2 adults in the boat. Great wave on either side running at 11mph.
I'm also curious about the piggy back bag in the front. idahosan/flounder, have you done this on a 2014 or 2015 boat? When I asked wakemakers, they said you couldn't do the piggyback in the bow anymore on the newer 230 (2014+).
