Need to add about 200# of static weight to my 03 210 to offset extra weight on starboard side. What do you guys like that won't cost an arm and leg? Would just go on top of hard tank in locker. Thanks!

i use about 400 pounds of these around the boat for tuning and nose weight. i have been happy with them and can vouch for their quality. sorry about the "wont cost an arm and a leg" part, lol

Look for a local manufacture that make lead products and ask if they will sell you some of their ingots. It won't be in a nice bag like Lead Wake but it will probably save you some coin.2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

Pop products... they are in California.. not sure where you are in Cali... http://www.pop-products.com/our-products.html
Or check craigslist.... people are always selling weird stuff... I was thinking weight plates from like a broken exercise machine, but I run across stuff like this: http://tricities.craigslist.org/mat/5032967989.html

Pop products are probably the most expensive, but 400lbs worth and they're really handy because the mold to just an out any location, are simple to move round, and really durable. They are going on 10yrs old and 3 boats worth. Still look new.
Lead wake and bombwake good places.
If youre really on tight budget and have time I know some guys that went to tore shops to collect their old weights and melted then down into bricks.

Can also try quickcrete. But MAKE SURE you wrap it in plastic and seal it! Takes more space than lead but cheap. Play sand also a safe option. At least you can see if the weight makes the wake you want without an investment.

I would stay away from quickcrete. We make concrete products and cement dust is very fine. If it ever broke open you would have a mess. And if it got wet it would be an even bigger mess. Every month I have to power wash the mats in my truck just to keep them looking good, that just from the dust off my shoes.2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

If you use it, be sure it is wrapped very very well. Many construction grade trash bags and duct tape. Have to admit, I went with play sand because knowing my luck a knife would fall and cut the bag!

I made some bags. Got used wheel weights from a few tire shops and put them in 1 gal. Zip lock bags. Taped the entire bag with duct tape and then put them in a little vinyl bag my wife made. I have 20lb and 40lb sizes. Took some time but only cost about $40 for 380 lbs. Had them for 7-8 years now and just had to re tape one of them this spring.

What tire guys did to go to, local? I tried two of the national chains, thinking I would get weight faster and was turned down.2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

The smaller guys, the big chains aren't allowed to give them away. Now that I'm thinking about it one of them charged me, but most just gave me what they had on hand. It took me about a month.19 SANTE 210

If you can get your hands on tire weights or other lead you can use the Shaun Murray method instead of putting them in bags. Get some PVC pipe and end caps, fill with lead and glue the caps down and your lead will be sealed.Shawn
