    210 superair ballast upgrade

Hey, looking for some advice. put 82 hours on our Superair 210 with NSS and proballast (1,750 Lbs) last year so spent a fair amount of time playing with the various settings and ballast levels. i'd like to upgrade the ballast so i can surf left (port) side with minimal crew on board (driver and spotter). we have the additional 600 lb pro ballast bags as well as the NSS. Love the boat, and can't afford to upgrade it to a G21 just now anyway.

i find that the wake is good on the right side, but even running the starboard bag at 50% and the port bag at 100% i'm not getting enough wake. my other criteria is that everything be out of sight and plug and play so no manual valves or pumps.

Dealer has done quite a few upgrades of this sort and recommended the 650 lb Ubag from Fly Hi for under the front seat plumbed to the belly tank in conjunction with Fly High Pro XS bags at 400lbs/side for the trunk, and remove the plastic trays when we are filling them all the way. the thinking is that extra weight in the front will lengthen the wave and more in the back to give us the ability to shape it more with the NSS. the price is pretty reasonable so i'm OK with that part of it.

question - is this the most weight i can put in the trunk? i'm only gaining 100 lbs/side for 200 total. since i'm already removing the tray is this the largest bag that will fit in the trunk? or are we limited by the stress we want to put on the engine protector? the new bags are 42"x16"16". what i can't find are the dimensions of the trunk compartment or what the maximum bag size that would fit would be.
    Thx,
    DM

Pull the hard tanks in the rear and drop. 1100's in each rear trunk.

I'm looking to add to the system on my '13 210. What fits in the front floor locker that I can tie into the factory system? I don't want to give up the storage under the seats having lost the rear lockers to the bags.

The W704 fits nicely in there.

Thank you! Wakemakers? Then get the plumbing kit with it?

From wakemakers. Ask them about the plumbing, but everything you need for hoses should be there minus the short line between the tank and the sac. The vent, drain and fill line will all be used in the new set up. Wakemakers will make it easy for you, should be about a 30 minute install.

I am not 100% on the 14 tank configuration, but on the 08-13 boats the Sumo/ Brostock 900's fit perfectly when you remove the wedge tank. The W704 is the sac you want to piggy back off the locker tank. In order to run with those 900's full you'll need a sac in the walkway up front too a 400lb sac is perfect. Grab some pop bags or bombwake lead bags and leave them in the bait to help balance left to right. You'll also need to upgrade the prop if you haven't, but the weight setup above is about as macking as it can get.

Brings me to ask prop questions, the obvious ones of course

Prop will be OK as long as you do the bow weight. It's no drag boat but will do OK. A prop upgrade is never a bad idea and can only help.

Acme 1617 is supposed to be the prop for a fully sac'd out 210. If I was running all the weight mentioned above that's what I would go with. That would be the 900's full, the piggy backed locker sac, center tank, and the walkway sac.

I run my boat with full factory, locker sac piggy backed , about 200-300 on the top of each rear tank and 200lbs of pop bags all the way in the nose. I run the 1465/1579 13.5 X 14.25 prop and I would say I am at the limit. The boat planes no problem I feel my hole shot could be way better. If I didn't still slalom as much as I do I would have the 1617, but because I stil slalom the 1617 would turn way too many rod at 32-34mph

I don't run as much weight as Swat is talking about. We have 400's on top of our rear stock tanks and the 704 in the ski locker. We don't have a prop issue but are in Dallas pretty much at sea level. We won't set any sped records off the line, but don't have a problem doing what we want at full ballast.

I'm looking to do the same as cedar creek, plenty good for me with the NSS too. If I could have found smaller sacs than the 400's I'd have been happy with that.

I was just looking to match the 14 stock weight. Now if there was only a way to set the auto time on empty to relieve any worry about running the pumps dry or not dumping totally before getting on the boat lift.

It's not the most convenient, but after your last run of the day code out completely, enter code and stop to shut everything completely down the start it back up and you will get a true float reading in your hard tanks.

That's what I've been doing too, just takes a minute.

Here's a weird deal, I called Wakemakers just to make sure I ordered the correct stuff and they aren't sure if the kit has long enough hoses to tie the W704 into the actual front hard tanks. Is it possible that they don't know what size hoses to tie this sac in? Just to get the ball rolling ordered the "tsunami pump". Guess it'll be a guessing game once the boat is out of storage.

Anyone know a place or way to put a tray or shelf in the rear lockers over the sacs to recover the lost storage or do you just throw stuff in over the sacs?
