For slaloming, I'd say its pretty nice. Not as good as the 206, and def. no 196. But for a 10-person boat and the size of it, its a great DD crossover. Throw some fat sacs in it (which I dont) and then you'll have a 'nice' wake by anyone's standards...I Nautique, therefore I am.

i know it is hard to define "nice wake"---i was just curious
i had a 98 BU sunsetter---it had a nice wake with no weight, but like you said murray would complian---u put the wedge down and it ramped up very nicely---i suck either way!
i also had a 92 MC maristar 240---monster of a boat---no wieght it threw a tall wake that was not to rampy, but you had to pack a lunch to clear to the other side!2001 SUPER AIR (current)

216's wake with tanks loaded has more of a lip in the wake. The dealer I bought my from, Cliff McInnis, is a pro wakeboarder and this is what he learned on and used to train behind. I've seen him completely inverted behind a 216 (in a picture on his wall).

I have 97 sport nautique and i was hoping some one may have an answer to a question abou the hull. I could be wrong but from what I know in 97 the 196 and snob changed the hull to the TSC. does any one know if they changed the hull on the sport at this time? From what i have noticed the 98 sport says TSC on the deck. Not that any of this matters much as the boat is great, i have just wondered about this sice we bought it.

97 sport remained same as 96. In 98 they updated the sport hull. See correctcraftfan.com,
click on the reference section if you would like to see the brochures from those years. BKH2001 Super Air

haha, that second one looked like the Official MacDonalds Nautique at first... And first time I've seen the DRAGON combo on a 216, looks nice....I Nautique, therefore I am.
