On a lighter note, I was at the boat show in Cleveland yesterday. VanDevere's had a nice display, especially for their first year.

I agree...I think they have some first class people too...I think that's why their dealership is going to thrive.
Did you happend to catch the Chippewa Lake Ski Team there - they are fun to watch!
Mike VanDevere is one of the skiers.

We didn't have time to watch after Twiggy's show. We already saw them at our lake this past summer. I agree that they are very nice. I wish them success...........Ski on dude!

Yes, it's about 1/2 hour away. I haven't skied there in almost 20 years. It's very crowded, especially during the weekend. You would need to go early in the morning during the week.Originally posted by ryanandrewschassmann- is pleasant hill lake down by you>? neighbor said its all decent lake, didnt know if you knew anything about itSki on dude!

Ryan,
CHassmann and I both live near Pleasant Hill Lake.
He’ll probably post his response to your question but I’ll go ahead and jump in with my thoughts.
PH is a Muskingum Conservancy flood control lake and they have a lot of info about it on their website here:
http://www.mwcdlakes.com/pleasant.htm
It is very crowded with boats on summer weekends and the skiing can be challenging to put it politely. Lots of water maggots (PWC’s) running around. Weekdays are hit-or-miss depending on the weather. The few serious skiers usually hit the water just before dawn and are off the lake by 7:30 or 8:00 AM. Some people enjoy the lake just for cruising around and watching the activity. The launch ramp antics can be a real hoot to watch if you’ve got an hour or so to just hang around during the dinner hour on a weekend.
BTW, I don’t mean to put down the people who use and enjoy the lake on a regular basis. My wife and I boated on PH for many years before we became serious skiers. Its probably worth the drive for you to come down and at least check it out for yourself.

Nice boat, but stripped down...closed bow...150 hours...carb engine...no options at all (depth, PPass, radio!)...they're asking 19,350 at the show.Originally posted by M3FanWas the 99 for sale?

Send a PM to jthooker and he can give you some info on his site. My family and I ski at Holiday Lakes. It's a private (POA) lake about 220 acres. No slalom course, but we nearly have the lake to ourselves most of the summer during the day on weekdays.Originally posted by ryanandrewshey thanks guys for all the info.......seems like it could be fun down there with a few buddies.. i will have to check it out..........where else do you guys ski around mansfield??Ski on dude!
