RE: 4 blade props ???
I beg to differ Hollywood, sir. (Spoken with the respect of Doc Holliday's accent in Tombstone.) There are a few of us that appreciate softer wakes and less tail at 22off. OK, OK, you did say it is 'more of an AIR community' - but please don't discount us fossils that still like the less-of-a-wake characteristics. I tried boarding. I just can't get there, but, oh how I love to watch those who truly have it down... Ditto with the foils. I frequent this forum. It is one of the best.

Yeah, speak for yourself Hollywood, I too frequent this forum for it's wealth of technical info. I also try and ignore all the Air references because it's the big fat boats that always mess up my glass when I'm tryin' to run 22 off.
As for the prop. Depends on what altitude you run your boat at. I have a 90 SN and it was the best thing I ever did to my boat, I typically run at lakes that are at or above 4500 ft. elevation, you get much more power out of the hole and the four blade is way smoother vibration wise.

RE: 4 blade props ???
I certainly wasn't knocking any slalom skiers here, as I am one. They're always talking about props over there so I was just helping him get more answers. I also think my assumption stands that there are more boarders than skiers here.

RE: 4 blade props ???
I frequent both websites but PN much more often.
I don't see it as an air/slalom thing (we only slalom) rather an
old versus new. They seem to have tons of post about 78 tranny's and
the like rather than info of recent models, options etc.

RE: 4 blade props ???
Yeah, I see CCF as a site that has more resources for owners of older Correct Crafts, while we have the resources for people owning later models. It is pretty cool the way things worked out between the two sites. We each found our user base without hurting the other site. At least that's the way I see it.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!

RE: 4 blade props ???
The two sites compliment each other nicely indeed. Unfortunately, the 2001s are kinda stuck in the middle right now between people using them for wakeboarding, and those still using them for skiing.
SGY, I'm well aware of the "bump" every cut. Our buddies have an '03 PS209 which I don't think is that much better of a slalom boat anyways. Once I graduate and get some cash flowing, we'll be picking up a 97-99 TSC.

If you don't have good form, you will or you'll be busy doing cartwheels across the lake. We also plan on keeping the '88. Everybody I've heard regrets getting rid of their's, unless they're going to a SAN.

RE: 4 blade props ???
87sn,
Are you running the federal/michigan wheel 13x13 or the OJ supercup? I believe the factory prop in 87 was still the federal? On my 83 we gained significant performance improvements switching to the OJ 13x13 supercup, now called the legend. We sold the boat before 4 blade became popular. Even with my 1995 I ran a 3 blade, it had plenty of grunt with the GT-40/1.23, since I am a barefooter I didn't want to give up any top end.
There is a somewhat relative prop comparison on the www.tmcowners.com website. Some of the guys claim the 4 blade gives more lift but I believe that Acme has come to the conclusion that a 3 blade works better on the direct drive and a 4 blade works better on a V-drive. You may want to check with Karl DeLoff at www.boarditup.com, he is a wealth of information when it comes to props.

MIKESKI I'll check thoughs sits out and do more home work. THANKS !!!
